UPDATE: CBR has learned that the Super-Pets special discussed below is already available as DCeased: Hope at World's End #8. The DC FanDome panel where writer Tom Taylor announced the chapter was likely filmed before the event was split into two weekends, hence his use of future tense. The DCeased series is one of the more popular DC Elseworlds narratives, spawning several spinoffs. However, there's a new story coming that has been in the works since the original series.

During the "Mostly DCeased" panel at DC FanDome, writer Tom Taylor discussed the special. "I can tell you, but this is a spoiler, but Karl [Mostert]'s chapter that's coming up is something we had planned back in issue #2 of the first DCeased, and it's a DCeased Super-Pets special."

The Super-Pets are a race of animals that bear the same Kryptonian abilities as Superman and his kin. Their membership includes Krypto the Superdog, Beppo the Super-Monkey, Streaky the Supercat and Comet the Super-Horse. Other DC pets include Ace the Bat-Hound and Aquaman's seahorse Storm.

DCeased takes place in a universe where Cyborg is infected with the Anti-Life Equation, which spreads to the Internet. Those infected with the Anti-Life Equation became rage-filled monsters, consuming the flesh of their victims. The original series spawned several spinoffs: DCeased: Unkillables and DCeased: Hope at World's End. A sequel miniseries, DCeased: Dead Planet, is currently publishing by DC Comics.
