The DC Animated Movie Universe's John Constantine is back and risking his soul once again in the animated short film DC Showcase: Constantine - The House of Mystery.

In an exclusive clip from The House of Mystery, Constantine finds himself in the titular magical home, with its enchanted passages and ominous hallways. As Constantine acclimates to his surroundings, he decides to enter a room only to find a sultry vision of Zatanna waiting for him. Constantine quickly makes himself comfortable as he reunites with his magical lover, preparing to spend the night with her even as something about the whole proceeding feels unsettlingly off.

Constantine's animated adventure in the House of Mystery anthology is a direct continuation of the DCAMU's last adventure in Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. The 2020 animated film saw Darkseid successfully conquer the Earth, prompting Constantine to convince the Flash to travel back in time and alter the course of history to prevent this bleak reality from coming to pass. The fate of the DCAMU is rewritten, but Constantine is sentenced to spend eternity within the House of Mystery for tampering with destiny, where he is tormented by ravenous demons.

Reprising his fan-favorite role as Constantine is Matt Ryan, joined by Camilla Luddington returning to the role of Zatanna from their previous appearances in the DCAMU. Ryan began his association with the DC Comics magician with the 2013 live-action series Constantine, which was canceled after its inaugural season. Ryan has since portrayed Constantine throughout the Arrowverse, most notably as a regular character on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, before seemingly being written off for good in Season 6.

DC's House of Mystery anthology also includes short animated films starring Blue Beetle, Kamandi and the original World War II iteration of The Losers. Blue Beetle stars Matt Lanter as the superhero Ted Kord, with the short animated in the style of 1960s superhero cartoons. The Kamandi short stars Cameron Monaghan as Jack Kirby's post-apocalyptic last boy on Earth, as he explores the wasteland and legacy of its fallen heroes. The Losers follows the Allied squad as they embark on a secret mission during WWII, with Ming-Na Wen starring as new character Fan Long, providing the anthology with an eclectic mix of DC stories.

Produced by James Krieg and Rick Morales, DC Showcase: Constantine - The House of Mystery will be available May 3 on Blu-ray and digital HD.
