DC Comics announced today that following the sell-out of the first issue of their hit summer event “Identity Crisis,” the publisher will be sending issue #1 back to press for a second printing. This second printing will feature an alternate cover, featuring a “negative” version of the original pencils without inks or colors. Click the image to the right to enlarge.
“You can’t tell a good story without great characters, and ‘Identity Crisis’ not only opens up the hearts and the minds of the heroes we know, but it spotlights the ones we should know,” series artist Rags Morales said in a release. “That said, the miniseries’ success shows how intelligent our audience and retailers are – literature really works in comics! A big, hearty thank you to all our supporters.”
“Even with the returnable overship we provided on this issue, the input from enthusiastic retailers at Diamond’s Baltimore Retailer Summit convinced us to move forward on this new printing,” said Bob Wayne, DC’s VP – Sales & Marketing in the release. “With this printing on the shelves, readers who’ve heard the buzz on IDENTITY CRISIS will have every reason to pick it up and get on board.”
This second printing of “Identity Crisis” #1 is available for order now and is scheduled to arrive in stores October 13th with a $3.95 cover price.
