First came Earth 2's Batman, then Robin and Wonder Woman. Today, DC Comics has revealed the design for Earth 2's Supergirl, as conceived by "Worlds' Finest" co-artist Kevin Maguire. Unveiled this morning on DC's official blog, The Source, Earth 2's pre-Power Girl alter ego of Karen Starr is yet another example of the way in which the alternate-Earth's heroic timeline differs not only from the main DC Universe, but from all of the pre-Flashpoint iterations as well.

"Superman's cousin loves her adopted world with a passion, seeing how the people of Earth have adopted her and taken her to their hearts," "Earth 2" writer James Robinson told The Source, pointing out that Supergirl is the "brightest light" of the world's heroes who have, up to now, seemed rather dark in comparison to their DCU counterparts.

Series editor Wil Moss points out that, much like her "World's Finest" co-star, the Huntress, DC fans have already been introduced to the character, albeit in a rather secretive way. "As readers of MISTER TERRIFIC already know, Karen has been busy since she arrived on the main DCU Earth, creating a successful company and dating the brilliant Michael Holt. But what are her true motives behind those actions? How did she get here? And what incident prompts her to take up her new identity of Power Girl? Find out in WORLDS' FINEST #1!"
