Within the cosmic side of the DC universe, many other Lantern corps exist along the emotional spectrum aside from just the Green Lanterns. Alongside willpower, forces like hope, fear, and compassion also have a major effect throughout the galaxy.

One of the more active Corps, however, is the Red Lantern Corps, who draw their power from emotions like rage and anger. Though not every person to wear one of these rings has been a villain, the group generally has more of a negative impact than anything else. With all of that in mind, one can’t help but wonder which types of Marvel characters may find themselves in a group like this. Looking more so at the heroes of the Marvel universe, here is our list of 10 characters who would fit in with DC’s Red Lantern Corps.

10 Deadpool

Despite what his typical attitude may suggest, Deadpool can actually get pretty dark and dangerously angry at times, making him an excellent candidate for the Red Lantern Corps. Though he may seem cheery at times, Deadpool’s incredibly dark past gives him every reason to be filled with rage.

From the experiments that gave him his powers, to the tampering with his mind, to his relationship with Death and Thanos, Deadpool has clearly been through a lot. Likewise, the character can easily change his attitude at the smallest inconvenience, further showing how he would fit in with the Corps. Considering his history and actions, it makes sense that Deadpool would need to let out a bit of pent up anger from time to time

9 Blade

Since the day of his birth, Blade would have plenty of things to be angry about. After a vampire killed his mother during childbirth, Blade would then be raised in a brothel for many years until vampires once again entered his life. After learning various ways of combat and a few other traumatic losses, Blade set out to become Marvel’s best vampire hunter.

Furthermore, with how violent Blade is in general, he would fit right in with many other members of the Red Lantern Corps. Likewise, he already looks good with a bit of red on him, so a bit more would likely make for a great aesthetic for the character.

8 Daredevil

One good thing about having an all-red suit is that Daredevil already fits right in with the rest of the Red Lantern Corps. Likewise, his darker, very tortured past definitely makes him a good candidate for the corps to begin with. Given his gritty and violent lifestyle, Matt Murdock also has plenty to be angry about, but his skills as a lantern would actually be a bit questionable.

Given his lack of sight, Daredevil likely wouldn’t be able to make any detailed constructs. Theoretically, the Red Lantern Ring could be used to restore his sight, but rings of this color generally tend to do more harm than good. Though Daredevil would definitely fit in with some other characters, his actual effectiveness with a ring is a bit unclear.

7 Moon Knight

Even with several different identities, any version of Moon Knight would make a great addition to the Red Lantern Corps. Though some personalities are definitely more suited for the group than others, Moon Knight in general is an incredibly brutal character who isn’t afraid to kill.

Though he isn’t the most angry character on this list, he is still a very dark character who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. As someone who wears a lot of white, Moon Knight tends to quickly dirty his suit with blood. With this in mind, fans already have a general idea of what his Corps suit would look like, making some wish this DC/Marvel crossover would actually happen.

6 Venom

While Carnage would also make a great candidate for the Corps, he is far more of a villain than Venom ever is, but that still doesn’t change the fact that Venom is still a pretty brutal and angry character. Those who know his origin know that he was born out of a combined hatred for Peter Parker, so it isn’t hard to believe that he would qualify for the Corps ranks.

Furthermore, with the more recent take on Venom as well, Eddie Brock especially has a lot to be angry about. Though a “Red Lantern Venom” could easily look like Carnage, the symbiote itself could still take on a whole new look, making just the spider on his chest and back red instead, or even some other element. Granted, the symbiote itself is already pretty powerful, making a terrifying character like Venom all the more powerful.

5 Drax

Though his time with the Guardians of the Galaxy has really helped him grow as a character, Drax is still one of Marvel’s more violent cosmic heroes. With the nickname, “The Destroyer,” as well, it wouldn’t be all that surprising if DC’s Red Lantern Corps saw him as a valuable recruit.

Considering how many other members of the Corps already draw many similarities with Drax, it seems as though he would fit right in with the rest of the group. With everything Drax has seen in space as well, he would certainly have a vivid imagination for constructs to create using his ring, arguably making him a much stronger candidate than others.

4 Ghost Rider

In actuality, almost every Spirit of Vengeance would likely qualify for a Red Lantern Ring, as most of them are known for being rather violent characters and tortured souls. Looking specifically at Johnny Blaze though, the most popular version of Ghost Rider is likely to foot the bill better than almost anyone else.

For years, Johnny’s past mistakes have plagued him in the present, with his role as Ghost Rider doing almost more harm than good in some cases. With this in mind, he seems like a perfect fit for the Red Lantern Corps, as many of them are in similar situations. Though it is hard to imagine how Ghost Rider could look any cooler, he is definitely one Marvel hero who would be considered for their ranks.

3 Wolverine

With how often Wolverine is coated in blood, it isn’t hard to see how he would fit right in with the Red Lanterns. Along with a bad attitude and everything, Logan is one of the more obvious candidates, especially considering how he is known for his constant grumpy mood and violent past.

As a member of the Red Lanterns, Wolverine would practically be unstoppable, especially considering everything he has experienced as an X-Man. Though his claws might make the ring a bit awkward to wear, there’s no telling what the hero could accomplish if he were gifted a power like this.

2 Punisher

Punisher and his shotgun

With everything that has happened to Frank Castle over the years, it makes sense that he would be a bit angry. Because of the things that have happened to him, Franks has racked up one of the largest kill counts in the entire Marvel universe, making him perfect for the role of a Red Lantern.

As one of the more devastating of Marvel’s characters, Frank’s attitude and general actions would easily help him to fit right in amongst other Red Lanterns. Furthermore, with the clever and brutal ways Punisher has taken lives in the comics, it is truly terrifying to think of what he could do with a practically unlimited power.

1 Hulk

Of course, The Incredible Hulk has to be on this list, as no other Marvel character is associated more with rage. Though the green would likely clash a little with the red, Hulk is definitely Marvel’s best candidate for a Red Lantern Corps member.

With his own abilities being tied to his emotional state, one can only imagine how powerful Hulk would be with the addition of a lantern ring. Furthermore, depending on which type of Hulk personality obtains the ring, the character’s potential effectively becomes limitless, which would make Hulk one of the strongest Red Lanterns in any given sense.
