Have you been naughty? Have you been nice? Are you making a pull list and checking it twice? Then you may want to add the "DC Rebirth Holiday Special" #1 while you're at it. The 96-page “Prestige Format” one-shot “features DC’s biggest and brightest heroes celebrating the holiday season" with stories by a diverse roster of artists, including James Tynion IV, Steve Orlando, Vita Ayala, Cullen Bunn, Tim Seeley, James Asmus, Heath Corson, Gustavo Duarte and Dustin Nguyen.

With stories that span the spectrum of holiday traditions, the one-off finds Batwoman celebrating Hanukah, Flash having a family Christmas and Wonder Woman hanging out at Constantine’s “hellblazing pagan party.” There’s even an appearance from the deerstalker-wearing simian Detective Chimp, who we last saw in Jeff Lemire’s “Justice League United” #16.

The various stories in the "Holiday" anthology are connected by a Harley Quinn story that features even more DCU guests. The framing narrative is written by New York Times bestselling writer Paul Dini; a former “Batman: The Animated Series” writer, Dini penned the critically acclaimed “Dark Night: A True Batman Story,” a memoir in graphic novel form illustrated by Eduardo Rissi.

“DC Rebirth Holiday Special #1”  continues to expand on the restoration of the DC Universe's legacy and hopeful tone, as championed by DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns. It also hearkens back to the publisher’s pre-"Flashpoint" holiday initiatives, the last of which was the 2009 “DC Universe Holiday Special #1." Of course, DC's tradition for holiday cheer goes way back to the company's very beginnings, with the 1940 “Superman’s Christmas Adventure” featuring villains Doctor Grouch and Mister Meaney.

“DC Rebirth Holiday Special #1” goes on sale December 14.
