WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Red Hood: Outlaw #47, by Scott Lobdell, Paolo Pantalena, Arif Prianto and ALW's Troy Peteri, available now.

Red Hood: Outlaw took a crazy turn recently with Jason Todd's team based in the Chamber of All after trying to stop an infection in Qurac. Knowing that it could turn Earth's citizens into rabid monsters, Red Hood's crew realizes that there's something in the Chamber catalyzing this supernatural virus and they need to seal it.

That entity turns out to be none other than DC's nastiest and most dangerous god in Trigon, but in Red Hood: Outlaw#47, Raven's father suffers a shocking fate at the hands of the publisher's most warped Superman.

Bizarro Kills Trigon

This is none other than Bizarro, the kookiest member of DC's Dark Trinity, where he works alongside Jason and his love interest, Artemis. When the Chamber takes Bizarro to hell, he's desperate to stop Trigon from breaking through to Earth and acts as the sacrificial lamb. He doesn't know who imprisoned the demon there but for Bizarro goes, it's all about hitting first and asking questions later.

He uses his freeze vision -- the opposite of Superman's heat vision -- and truly humbles Trigon, giving him a beating we haven't seen before. The other demon lackeys are stunned at what's transpiring since they're so accustomed to seeing Trigon as an almost infallible, devilish titan. That doesn't mean Trigon can't get in a few shots, because he does knock Bizarro around a few times. Still, Bizarro really comes off like a clone of the Last Son of Krypton, smashing Trigon around.

The deal-breaker comes, though, when Trigon threatens to use Bizarro's body to bludgeon the planet and kill millions. This triggers something inside Bizarro and he evolves, using super-strength and speed to punch a hole through Trigon's chest. He rips out the demon's heart in a Mortal Kombat-esque finishing move, adding that the battle escalated really quickly. It could mean that he either didn't know what happened as he was too enraged, he was possessed by something else, or that Bizarro's simply getting much stronger. After all, not even the Titans or Justice League Dark have been able to defeat Raven's father so resoundingly.

As Trigon falls and Bizarro says "Whoops!," it's clear that he didn't know the power he was harnessing and that there could be repercussions to come. There's also the possibility he could be treated as a king in this hellish dimension which would truly be a shift in career for the vigilante after he found his way again with Jason and his home for teenage heroes. Bizarro's power-up could be connected to the dimension Bizarro and Artemis got lost in, only to pop back up from not too long ago. It seems like he leveled up in that mysterious location, but he has no clue about the upgrades. This means that maybe Bizarro might get corrupted and become a villain in time. However, for the moment, taking down Trigon is Bizarro's most impressive accomplishment, and it's the biggest notch on his belt and one he'll want to tell his friends about if he can just find a way back home to them.
