When it comes to DC female superheroes, Helena Bertinelli aka The Huntress is one of the most intriguing ones. After her family was murdered, she decided to get her revenge and trained for years before she came back to Gotham and started killing those who have wronged her.

Huntress moves between being an antihero and a superhero, and some heroes don't trust her, especially Batman who thinks she's too violent and unpredictable. Still, Huntress is on the side of good most of the time, and if she crossed to the Marvel universe, she'd be able to defeat some of its villains but would lose to others.

10 Could Defeat: Kingpin

Huntress spent a significant part of her adult life killing members of the Gotham mafia families so it doesn't really come as a surprise that she and Wilson Fisk would never become best friends. In fact, she'd probably hate him and would try to kill him as soon as she'd learn who he truly was. The fight would be balanced, but Huntress could still win, if she didn't try to fight Fisk blindly, but would do her research first and would manage to catch him without his guards. Fisk is physically stronger than her but she doesn't need to get close to him thanks to her crossbow.

9 Would Lose: Red Skull

Captain America's archnemesis Red Skull is the worst one of all Nazis and Huntress would hate him since she doesn't want people to be controlled, she wants them to live freely with their families, which is something that she lost. So she'd try to take Red Skull down, but if she would go against him on her own, she'd probably lose. After all, Red Skull has Hydra at his disposal and the organization includes hundreds of goons with guns, which would prove too much for Huntress. So unless she would manage to get to Red Skull unobserved, she would lose this one.

8 Could Defeat: Black Cat

Unlike Wilson Fisk, Huntress and Black Cat could actually be great friends if they spent enough time together. They both lost their family, and they wanted to get revenge, so they would understand each other well. That said, if Huntress and Black Cat decided to fight, for whatever reason, it'd be a fairly balanced fight, but in the end, Huntress would most likely win. Black Cat is strong and agile, but Huntress has spent years training hard and she's probably better at hand to hand combat. Black Cat's power to manipulate luck to her favor could temporarily throw Huntress off her trail, but she'd push through anyway.

7 Would Lose: Doctor Doom

The main big baddie of the Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom shouldn't be underestimated under any circumstances. His main power is his formidable intellect which he uses to devise a working strategy against his enemies, no matter how stronger they might be.

That's one of the reasons why he was able to get the best of the Fantastic Four more than once. Huntress wouldn't stand a chance against Doctor Doom. While he wouldn't steal her powers as he did to other heroes since she doesn't have any, he'd still send his army of Doombots against her, and that would prove too much for Helena.

6 Could Defeat: Purple Man

The Purple Man with a beer.

Huntress has been through a lot of fights and she learned from Batman as well so she understands the importance of the preparation phase, the need to study your enemy, search for his weakness and to be aware of his strengths before you actually go against him and take him down. That's why she'd be able to defeat Purple Man, the villain who ruined Jessica Jones's life. Purple Man has the power to make people do whatever he wants by just ordering them to do it but he's not physically stronger than Helena so as long as she doesn't let him talk to her, she should be fine.

5 Would Lose: Carnage

As said above, Batman doesn't trust Huntress very much since he believes she's too violent. But if he compared Huntress and Carnage, he'd probably start thinking more favorably of Helena. If she's violent, then Carnage is beyond any description. Despite all of her strengths, Helena would have a hard time dealing with Venom, let alone Carnage, who's stronger than Spider-Man and Venom combined. So if these two heroes had to team up to even stand a chance at stopping Carnage, Huntress wouldn't have the slightest chance to succeed if she went against him on her own and the fight would be over almost immediately.

4 Could Defeat: Helmut Zemo

Helmut Zemo in Captain America Civil War

Let's step into the world of the MCU for a moment. Baron Zemo has special powers in the comics, but in Captain America: Civil War, he's a mere human who wants to avenge the death of his family and chooses to drive the Avengers apart - a strategy that succeeds and leads to the Civil War between the members of the Avengers.

The film's version of Zemo is great at strategy but if it came fighting hand to hand, he'd lose against Huntress very fast. Yes, Huntress also doesn't have special powers but she has her extensive training on her side, and in this case, it would be enough.

3 Would Lose: Thanos

Huntress wouldn't probably take it too well but losing against the Mad Titan himself isn't a shame, and she'd join a long line of people who also fought Thanos and lost, including the Earth's mightiest heroes. Even without the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos is a threat that shouldn't be underestimated. He's strong and merciless and able to defeat a larger group of opponents without breaking a sweat. A single rival, no matter how strong, wouldn't stand a chance against him. And if Thanos had the Infinity Gauntlet at his disposal, the fight between him and Huntress would be even shorter since he could just snap her into oblivion.

2 Could Defeat: The Vulture

Spider-Man battles the Vulture

The Vulture is one of the most iconic Spider-Man villains but that doesn't mean that a non-powered superhero couldn't defeat him. After all, the Vulture relies on the technology he's using and that gives him the power of flight, but without it, he's just an ordinary man whose fighting skills are nowhere as good as Helena's. Plus, she has the advantage of youth over him, she trained for years to be able to take people down in a multitude of ways, she's strong and fast, and she can always try and get the Vulture when he's not flying around New York.

1 Would Lose: Dormammu

No matter how much you might like Huntress and want her to win, there are many Marvel villains who are simply too much out of her league, and there's no way she'd be able to defeat them, at least not on her own. Dormammu is one of those villains. He's one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe, he has space powers at his disposal, and a large army of demons that he can send against Helena should she try to come and fight him. It's debatable whether Helena's crossbow would do much damage to the demons, and even if it did, humans tire more easily than demons.
