Green Lantern is one of the most well known characters of the DC Universe, along with being one of the most powerful members of the Justice League. Hal Jordan was the first human to be accepted into the Green Lantern Corps, a intergalactic police force that protects their respective sectors using the power of the Green Lantern ring, fueled by the user's willpower. Hal has protected Earth from countless galactic threats and has earned the title of greatest Green Lantern of All Time.

There have been countless examples of Marvel characters being sorted into their respective Lantern Corps, but what if Green Lantern traveled to the Marvel Universe? Which villains would he get along with, and which would he just be unable to tolerate?

10 Get Along With: Black Cat

Similar to her DC Comics counterpart Catwoman, Black Cat has often toed the line between villain and hero, but mostly always goes back to her burglarizing ways. She was the daughter of world renowned cat burglar Walter Hardy, and followed in her father's footsteps after a traumatic event in her freshman year of college, training herself to fight and eventually gaining the ability to give her enemies bad luck by affecting the probability field.

She is often seen as a love interest to Spider-Man, but is less interested in Peter Parker than she is in the wall-crawler himself. Hal Jordan is a playboy, consistently flirting with any woman he finds attractive, and the fact that he keeps this personality even when he's on duty would definitely attract the two to each other.

9 Would Hate: Red Skull

Red Skull Secret Wars 3

Serving as Captain America's archenemy, Johann Schmidt was Hitler's protégé, a Nazi scientist who is a leader of HYDRA, a terrorist organization that is the enemy of SHIELD. He was introduced to Hitler while serving the German leader as a bellhop, and was trained to become his right hand man. This obviously put him at odds with Captain America, the shining hero of the Allied Powers.

Hal Jordan has his own experience with tyrants. He was trained by Thaal Sinestro, one of the Green Lantern's top officers, until it was revealed that in protecting his homeworld of Korugar, he became a tyrant, abusing the power of the Green Lantern ring to turn the planet into a police state that worshiped him.

8 Get Along With: Magneto

Magneto is the leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants, who works against the X-Men in their mission to bring peace to humanity and mutantkind. Fighting for the mutant cause, his views are definitely more radical than Professor X's, as he believes humanity is an inferior species and should bow down to mutants rather than accept and cooperate with them.

However, his friendship and history with Professor X will often lead to Magneto teaming up with the X-Men to stop a common threat. Green Lantern will often team up with people he normally wouldn't trust if they work towards a common goal, including members of the other Lantern Corps such as Atrocitus, Larfleeze, and of course, Sinestro.

7 Would Hate: Thanos

Being one of cosmic Marvel's biggest and baddest villains, it's highly unlikely Green Lantern and Thanos wouldn't cross paths eventually on their missions in space. Thanos is determined to win the heart of Death by slaughtering billions of lives throughout the universe. He tries to achieve this goal by collecting the Infinity Stones, six of the most powerful items in the Marvel Universe, not too unlike the 7 Lantern rings.

Thanos has been stopped again and again by the heroes of Earth, and his mission, as well as his similarity to DC's Darkseid, would guarantee that Green Lantern would not be a fan of his.

6 Get Along With: Doctor Spectrum

Green Lantern and Doctor Spectrum would most likely get along, considering the Doctor is Marvel's version of Green Lantern. Joe Ledger was an astronaut who rescued a Skrull named Skymax on one of his missions. As a token of appreciation, the alien gave Ledger the Power Prism, an object that gave the astronaut countless powers and abilities.

As Doctor Spectrum, he used his abilities to create light colored beams, flight, strength, and energy manipulation through his own will. He became a member of the Squadron Supreme, Marvel's version of the Justice League. Of course the Space Cop and the Astronaut would get along.

5 Would Hate: Doctor Doom

Another dictator who is way too similar to Sinestro for Green Lantern to get along with. Victor Von Doom is the leader of Latveria, a small police state in Eastern Europe. He serves as the main antagonist to the Fantastic Four, after being humiliated in college with an experiment gone wrong. that could have been prevented if he had just listened to the suggestion of Reed Richards.

Studying science and learning the power of magic from his late mother's guides, Doom became one of the biggest and most iconic villains in Marvel history. Doom would not respect Hal in the slightest, and is actually much more likely to be accepted into the Sinestro Corps.

4 Get Along With: Quicksilver

The twin brother of Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver is the main speedster of the Marvel Universe. He's a mutant with the ability to run at the speed of sound, but has become faster and faster as the character developed. He was originally a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants with who he thought was his father, Magneto.

He eventually became a hero, serving alongside the X-Men and mainly the Avengers with his sister. Green Lantern would likely get along with Quicksilver for obvious reasons. His best friend is The Flash, so it makes sense Hal would become friends with someone who reminded him of Barry.

3 Would Hate: Annihilus

Annihilus emitting energy from the cosmic control rod on his chest

One of the Fantastic Four's greatest foes and supposed killer of Johnny Storm, Annihilus is a villain from the Negative Zone, an alternate dimension that Reed Richards discovered. Annihilus is the ruler of the Negative Zone, commanding armies of creatures and living off of the Cosmic Control Rod, a device that grants him immense power.

Annihilus's most well known storyline was Annihilation, where he planned an invasion of Earth using a doorway located in the Baxter Building. Johnny Storm sacrificed himself to hold off the bugs, but he came back as the new ruler of the Negative Zone. Having fought against swarms of Parademons, Green Lantern would hate Annihilus and his bugs.

2 Get Along With: Dark Phoenix

dark phoenix

Jean Grey was originally a member of the X-Men, and used her telepathic abilities to help the team in their quest for peace. However, when she encountered a mysterious alien entity known as the Phoenix Force, she was transformed into a being of immense power known as Dark Phoenix. The Dark Phoenix Saga went on to become one of Chris Claremonts most beloved stories, and an iconic X-Men story as well.

Why would Hal Jordan get along with a villain of immense power? Well, he actually went through something extremely similar. During the events of Emerald Twilight, Hal Jordan lost his entire city, and became possessed by the entity of fear, Parallax. As Parallax, he murdered the entire Green Lantern Corps and fought against the heroes of the DC Universe. Even with his time after as The Spectre, it took  two decades for Hal Jordan to be redeemed in the pages of Green Lantern Rebirth.

1 Would Hate: Galactus

Galactus from Marvel Comics

Want to get on Green Lantern's bad list? Coming to eat Earth is probably the easiest way. Fighting against countless alien invasions from villains such as Darkseid, Brainiac, and Starro, Green Lantern would be determined to stop Galactus.

As a being who searches worlds to feed his hunger, Galactus has tried to take Earth numerous times, each time being stopped by Reed Richards invention, the Ultimate Nullifier.
