As Red Hood, Jason Todd has made quite a name for himself since making a return from the grave. Equipped with some deadly weapons and a bad attitude, the former Robin has made it clear that he is far from what Batman would like him to be.

Over the years, Red Hood has continually served his own version of justice throughout the DC universe, causing all sorts of destruction everywhere he goes. Having faced off against some of DC’s own superheroes, one can’t help but wonder how he would hold up in the Marvel universe. Looking at some of the biggest heroes Marvel has to offer, here is our list of 5 heroes Red Hood could beat, and 5 who would defeat him.

10 Daredevil (Can Beat)

Red Hood has often been compared to Marvel’s own Punisher, thanks to the heavy violence and usage of guns from both characters. Since Punisher has actually beaten Daredevil several times throughout Marvel history, it makes sense that Red Hood would be able to gain the advantage from time to time as well.

Of course, Daredevil has also beaten Punisher about as often as he’s lost to him, but Jason also has the added advantage of being trained by Batman himself, making him arguably a better fighter than both Daredevil and Punisher. Likewise, his far more brutal and lethal manner makes it difficult to see how Daredevil would be able to come out on top.

9 Spider-Man (Can’t Beat)

Though he isn’t always so lucky, Spider-Man has a knack for dodging heavy gunfire. Thanks to his Spider-Sense, virtually all of Jason’s distant attacks would basically be rendered useless. Likewise, with his own enhanced abilities, Spider-Man also outmatches Jason in terms of general strength and speed.

With that in mind, Jason could still fight Spider-Man hand-to-hand, but the wall-crawler still has his own means of attacking from a distance thanks to his web shooters. With his genius-level intellect as well, Spider-Man has survived far greater threats than just an average guy with some weapons, making him the definite victor between the two characters.

8 Hawkeye (Can Beat)

However accurate Hawkeye may be with a bow and arrow, Red Hood’s experience would allow him to quickly put down the archer. Of course, after spending so much time with Arsenal in the DC universe, Jason has certainly learned a thing or two about archery, giving him a massive advantage straight out of the gate.

Furthermore, Jason’s own arsenal is far more lethal on average than almost anything Clint would typically carry on his person. With the more experienced fighting style as well, Red Hood is the clear victor between the two, especially with an advantage at both distance and close range.

7 Moon Knight (Can’t Beat)

No matter how hard he has tried, Red Hood has never quite been able to beat Batman. Therefore, with Moon Knight being so similar to DC’s Dark Knight, it is entirely plausible that Jason would lose here as well.

Furthermore, Moon Knight has the added advantage of no moral compass on his side as well, which allows him to be far more brutal than Batman generally is. With a plethora of resources at his disposal as well, any personality of Moon Knight’s is likely far better equipped than Jason is. Though both would land some pretty devastating blows, Moon Knight is just slightly more likely to come out on top.

6 Cyclops (Can Beat)

House of X Cyclops

Despite being the fearless leader of the X-Men, Cyclops is actually pretty easy to take down. Though his optic blasts deliver an incredibly powerful force, the character himself is still rather slow and has little in terms of protection.

Of course, with his teammates there to back him up, Cyclops is an entirely different kind of threat. In a one-on-one fight however, Red Hood would easily beat him. Considering all the training he’s had and his abilities as an acrobat, Red Hood is far too fast for Cyclops to keep up with, making Red Hood the far more likely victor between the two.

5 Hulk (Can’t Beat)

While Red Hood has taken down far bigger and far stronger opponents than himself in the past, there is still no way he could take down someone like the Hulk. Simply put, Hulk is just too strong and too powerful for Jason to even land a scratch on, making him the definite winner in this regard.

Without any superpowers of his own, Jason is forced to rely on his equipment, all of which is totally useless against someone like Hulk. With only a few bullets and small explosives on hand, Hulk has definitely survived far worse attacks, meaning that he would easily squash Jason if he pleased.

4 Black Cat (Can Beat)

Black Cat from Ultimate Marvel

Like Red Hood himself, Felicia Hardy has a complicated relationship with the words “hero” and “villain.” However, her heart is generally in the right place, making her worthy of facing off against the former Robin in this regard.

Unfortunately, even with her powers of luck, Black Cat would have an incredibly difficult time taking down someone like Red Hood. As someone who could nearly match her in terms of speed and agility, Red Hood also has the advantage of being able to attack at a distance, something Felicia can’t do. Though she may be able to land a few blows, it is hard to imagine any way in which Red Hood isn’t the victor.

3 Black Panther (Can’t Beat)

Though Jason arguably has certain advantages over Black Panther, T’Challa’s own vibranium suit and other technology are so advanced that Red Hood is practically useless against him. On top of being an expert hand-to-hand combatant, Black Panther has any number of other advanced weapons at his disposal.

Furthermore, with enhanced abilities of his own, Panther is easily the stronger, faster and better acrobat of the two. While Jason is likely prepared to take on someone like Panther, there is no way he is walking away from the fight unless T’Challa wants him to, especially in a one-on-one match.

2 Captain America (Can Beat)

Considering how Captain America has lost to The Dark Knight himself in the past, it is easy to believe that Batman’s protege would be able to do the same. Despite Cap’s own expertise and experience, Jason has still taken down far bigger and badder opponents than The Sentinel of Liberty.

Likewise, with a far more brutal fighting style, Cap’s only real chance at victory would be to outlast Jason in terms of stamina. Since Batman nearly killed him in the DC vs Marvel crossover though, someone with just as much experience would likely be able to do the same.

1 Luke Cage (Can’t Beat)

Red Hood is often known for leaving a wake of destruction almost everywhere he goes. As one of the most brutal members of the Bat-Family, Jason is no stranger to doing what needs to be done to bring his opponent down.

Unfortunately for him, no matter how hard he may try, Jason has nothing on him that could bring down someone like Luke Cage. No amount of explosives, bullets or fighting skill would be able to make Jason the victor in this regard, as Luke has managed to shrug off far greater blows. Though he may not be the best fighter in the Marvel universe, Luke’s abilities and enhanced strength still make him a force to be reckoned with.
