The following contains spoilers for DC League of Super-Pets, now playing in theaters.

In the annals of DC history, Lex Luthor has tried time and time again to break not just Superman but the Justice League. He's unleashed a plethora of weapons in the cartoons, such as his green robotic suit, and in the comics, he's worked with Perpetua to bring doom to the DC Universe. Of course, his main tool in the live-action movies has been kryptonite, as well as Doomsday in the SnyderVerse. However, Lex always fell short of the mark. But come DC League of Super-Pets, the evil genius ran an experiment that produced the ultimate weapon, with the villain not even realizing the powerful being that he brought into creation: Lulu.

Lulu was a cute guinea pig in the shelter where Ace (the Bat-Hound), Chip the squirrel, PB the pig, and Merton the turtle were housed in DC League of Super-Pets' opening act. While they were trying to figure out how to escape to a farm, Lulu made weird speeches about world domination. The others ignored her, but the tag on her confirmed there was more to her ambitions, as she was from LexCorp.

In flashbacks, it was revealed that she was one of many guinea pigs Lex was experimenting on. She lost all her hair, due to red kryptonite experiments, with purple kryptonite then enhancing her intelligence. Lex, though, didn't fully grasp what she was, despite her being his aide. In time, Krypto and Superman would bust the lab, which led to Lulu being tossed into the shelter. It broke her because not only did she consider Lex a mentor, but she had a crush on him.

How Did Lulu Get Powers in Super-Pets?

In DC League of Super-Pets, Lulu stole materials off unassuming customers at the shelter, scrapping together items to make a gravity ray. When Superman and Krypto tossed Lex's orange kryptonite meteor into orbit, she drew down a piece with her ray. Lulu then activated the mineral, which gave her godlike powers, such as flight and telekinesis, that scared the others.

She set the lab on fire but took Whiskers (a cute cat) with her, reminding them everyone loves cats. Lulu's main goal was to take out Superman, Krypto and the Justice League, getting revenge for all the times they foiled Lex. She also planned to break Lex out of prison after he got canned for the meteorite fiasco to show him what his protégé did in his name.

What Was Lulu's Big Plan in Super-Pets?

Lulu firstly went after Superman, using green kryptonite to weaken and kidnap him. She also slipped a sliver in Krypto's snack near the beginning of DC League of Super-Pets, taking his powers away so he could live through the pain of having no owner. Lulu later used the orange kryptonite to power up her fellow guinea pigs and Whiskers to create an army. When the legion wreaked havoc, the League came to save the day, but they underestimated the animals and got taken down.

Flash's feet were frozen in cement, and he was placed in a cell containing a hamster wheel; Cyborg's battery was removed, and he was put in airplane mode; Aquaman's waves were frozen, allowing the creatures to knock him out. As for Keanu Reeves' Batman and Wonder Woman, they were swarmed and overpowered, resulting in Lulu locking everyone away.

With Superman in a green kryptonite cell, too, they were sitting ducks, allowing Lulu to create a rocket on top of Lex's tower that'd blast them into space and blow them to pieces. The pièce de résistance was when she broke Lex out, leaving him impressed at the mastermind he inadvertently created. However, as he saw her rocking a piece of Superman's cape, he quickly became green with envy as she achieved what he couldn't do in mere days.
