Amid the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, DC Comics has launched DC Kids Camp, a new program with at-home activities for kids. The initiative will also feature interactive videos from popular children's authors, such as Gene Luen Yang, Meg Cabot and Shannon and Dean Hale.

Starting today, DC Kids Camp activities will appear on DC Kids' Instagram and Twitter accounts and be sent out with the DC Family newsletter. Activity sheets, coloring pages, blank comic book pages, middle grade graphic novel previews and additional downloadable content will be made available daily.

Planned events include a draw-along with DC Super Hero Girls artist Agnes Garbowska, origami tutorials with Superman Smashes the Klan writer Gene Luen Yang and a make-your-own Green Lantern ring session with Green Lantern: Legacy's Minh Lê. The events will drop Monday through Friday at 10 am PT on DC Kids' social media accounts, kicking off with "Make a Green Lantern Ring with Minh Lê" today, March 25. This week's author events also feature "Superman Origami with Gene Luen Yang" on Thursday, March 26 and "Make Your Own Superhero with Dustin Hansen" on Friday, March 27.

Future sessions will involve Franco Aureliani and Art Baltazar (Superman of Smallville); Meg Cabot (Black Canary: Ignite); Matthew Cody (Zatanna and the House of Secrets); Amanda Deibert (DC Super Hero Girls); Shea Fontana (Batman: Overdrive); Shannon Hale and Dean Hale (Diana: Princess of the Amazons); Thomas Krajewski, Jennifer Muro and Gretel Lusky (Primer); Demitria Lunetta and Kate Karyus Quinn (Anti/Hero); Michael Northrop (Dear Justice League); Ridley Pearson (Super Sons trilogy); Kirk Scroggs (The Secret Spiral of Swamp Kid); and Brittney Williams (Lois Lane and the Friendship Challenge).
