Because there are other superhero teams within the DC Comics Universe, here are the top 10 forgotten heroes that are actually more powerful than the Justice League. Though they were reluctant at first, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman answered to the call of duty when they teamed-up to form the Justice League. Separately, they wouldn't have a chance standing up against an intergalactic threat. But together as a team, Earth stands a better chance at winning  in the end.

Though their name is the first thing that pops up, the Justice League aren't the only ones people ask for help when trouble arrives. The DC Universe is filled with severely underrated superhero teams who are actually more powerful than the League. In honor of these unsung heroes, we compiled a list of 10 forgotten superhero teams that are stronger than the Justice League.

10 Doom Patrol

Sometimes you just need to be weird and let your inhibitions loose in order to seize the moment. The members of Doom Patrol, including team leader Niles Caulder and Robotman, are a bunch of quirky characters with tons of heart and moral complexities.

They weren't going to let a bunch of Nazis actually win when General Zahl and Madame Rouge, who was overcome by her evil side, stormed a small fishing village. In Doom Patrol #121, the team fought to their deaths in order to save the innocent people from Codsville, Maine.

9 Justice Society of America

Though Rebirth ripped them out of history, thanks to Doctor Manhattan messing with the timeline in Doomsday Clock,  there would be no Justice League if there was no Justice Society of America to pioneer them.

In a timeline witnessed by Dr. Manhattan during Doomsday Clock, the superhero team from the Golden Age of Comic Books were integral to inspiring Superman to become a hero. The original members of the Justice Society of America were Doctor Fate, The Atom, Jay Garrick as The Flash, Green Lantern, also known as Alan Scott, and Hawkman.

8 Metal Men

The Metal Men are advanced intelligent robots created by scientist Dr. William Magnus. Each member's personality reflects the personality of their names.

Among the six robots, Gold is the team leader, Mercury is the hothead, and Iron is the strongest member of group. Lead is able to protect himself and the rest of the team from incoming blasts and radiation with his thick shields. Platinum and Tin are able to stretch themselves out or spin themselves into fine filaments. There happens to be a new "Nth Metal Man" thanks to the Dark Multiverse.

7 Shadowpact

Sometimes, you just need spells and magic to take down a supremely evil threat. When the Spectre, a former cop named Jim Corrigan turned into the Ghostly Guardian, decided to destroy magic all across the universe, the Shadowpact came together in order to stop him from accomplishing his goal.

Enchantress, Ragman, Detective Chimp, Phantom Stranger, and Blue Devil rounded up the group at the Oblivion Bar, a hangout spot for mystics. Shazam came up with the group's name because they are a band of mystics who champion lost causes.

6 Infinity Inc.

Sometimes, the children of superheroes have a lot to live up to. Sylvester Pemberton, the original Star-Spangled Kid, formed his own superhero team after being denied admission into the prestigious Justice League of Society. The members of Infinity Inc., who also called themselves Infinitors, included Power Girl, Hourman, Huntress, and Atom Smasher.

During their first mission, the children fought against their parents when the entire Justice League of Society were brainwashed by the Ultra-Humanite. After saving the world, the Infinity Inc. revealed their secret identities during a press conference.

5 Extreme Justice

A few members of the Justice League left dissatisfied when the superhero team associated themselves with the United Nations. Disbanding from the Justice League, Captain Atom believed that the pursuit of justice sometimes meant taking action that no government would approve of.

Captain Atom did not want every decision to be approved of by the United Nations. Carol Ferris, the on and off again lover of Hal Jordan, became the administrator of the Mount Thunder facility over in Colorado. Captain Atom led the team that consisted of Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Maxima, and Plastique.

4 Team Titans

In 2001: Armageddon, the tyrannical warlord known as Monarch has defeated the Justice League and slain just about every member. In a dystopian future without Batman and Superman, Dick Grayson, the former Robin, continues his vigilante crusade as Nightwing and has formed the underground superhero team known as Team Titans.

The new Titans included Killowat, Dagon, Mirage, Redwing, and Terra. During Monarch's reign of terror, Nightwing and the Team Titans have to take down the powerful Lord Chaos, the evil son of Donna Troy, aka Wonder Girl, and Terry Long.

3 Relative Heroes

2 Demon Knights

Etrigan with Lady Xanadu Demon Knights

Way before the Justice Society of America had even formed, there was superhero team full of wizards and demons that existed during the Medieval period. Bonded to a human magician known Jason Blood, Etrigan the Demon found himself in a major confrontation against The Questing Queen.

Etrigan ends up meeting Madame Xanadu, the immortal Vandal Savage, and the Shining Knight, aka Sir Ystin, at a local tavern. Together as a team, they must save the small town of Little Spring from an impending horde of barbarians, dinosaurs, and mechanical dragons.

1 The Others

During the New 52 era, Aquaman was the leader of his own superhero team known as The Others. In his aquatic war against the Black Manta, Aquaman forms a group to help take down his nemesis. Aquaman brings The Operative, Ya'Wara, Prisoner of War, and Vostok to the secret tomb of the First King.

Upon opening the tomb, Aquaman gives each member their own Atlantean relic, such as The Key and Teleportation Globe, to wield uncanny power. The Others keep their team leader in check, making sure they are helping innocent civilians, instead of blindly chasing after Black Manta.
