WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Aquaman #64, by Kelly Sue DeConnick, Miguel Mendonça, Robson Rocha, Daniel Henriques and Gilbert Vigonte, on sale now.

In Aquaman #64, Queen Mera feigned her wedding to Aquaman to gather the rulers of the Seven Kingdoms together so she could make her plea to end monarchies. Mera's move ended with her in prison, no actual wedding and the pair needing major superhero help.

DC Comics recently posted a wedding invitation online for Aquaman readers for Nov. 17, the release date of Aquaman #65, which also cleverly showed a sneak peek of the issue's cover.

The post was captioned with, "Tuesday..." In the Twitter photo, the time is written as "high noon" which is also a subtle reference to the dual that took place between Aquaman and his step-brother Orm in the prior issue and the very same one that left Aquaman in dire straits.

Behind the wedding invitation is actually one of the issue's upcoming covers. Between Mera's white dress and the invitation, it seems heavily suggested that a wedding might actually occur this time, though, not before Orm is defeated once and for all. Mera and Aquaman were married before in the DC Universe, however, when DC Comics rebooted its line with New 52, their iconic marriage -- and the first superhero wedding depicted in comic books -- ended.

Together, Mera and Arthur are one of DC’s most powerful couples, and when they send out the call, you better believe that everyone answers. Aquaman #65 will be the last issue that Kelly Sue DeConnick writes and will wrap up her storyline for Arthur Curry and Mera of Xebel.
