A preview for the upcoming Tales from Earth-6 prestige one-shot introduces a totally different version of Joker into the DC world created by Stan Lee.
In a preview for Tales From Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee #1 provided by DC, the publisher introduces a brand-new Clown Prince of Crime into the Just Imagine universe. This incarnation of the villain refers to himself as "Choker" and is seen acting like a Joe Chill-type thug who is attempting to murder a woman until Wayne Williams/Earth-6's Batman bursts out of the shadows to stop him.
What Is Tales From Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee?
Announced in September 2022, Tales From Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee #1 takes readers back to the world of Just Imagine, which was created by Lee during the 1990s. Just Imagine re-imagined heroes such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman into different roles on Earth-6. Wayne Williams, for example, is a Black pro-wrestling Batman, while the world's Superman works for a Kryptonian Police Force and Sandman is an astronaut.
The synopsis for Tales From Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee #1 reads, "Over 20 years ago, Stan Lee reimagined the entire DC Universe. A criminal turned nocturnal warrior for justice, a champion from the Brazilian Amazon, an intergalactic lawman, and more sprang to existence from Stan’s mind with the help of Michael Uslan. To celebrate the legendary comic book icon’s 100th birthday, dive into 10 new adventures featuring his version of the DC Universe! Batman faces down a villainous new threat, the Choker! Green Lantern digs deep when Nekron arrives to consume the World Tree! The Justice League teams up with a familiar face in order to save the day!
