Although Gary Frank had a negative experience working with DC in the past, the artist said former DC Co-Publisher Dan DiDio was able to convince him to return."My 2p. DC burned me and I left them," Frank posted on Twitter. "Then Dan arrived and reached out to personally assure me that stuff like that would not happen again. I trusted him, was right to do so and I've had many great years at DC since. He is a gent and deserves success in whatever he does next."

Frank didn't reveal his initial issue with DC but went on to offer more words of praise for DiDio. "The important thing is that Dan, who did not know me at the time, contacted me to say that he heard what had occurred and that it wouldn't happen on his watch," he noted. "I'm one of many creators who benefited from his decency and professionalism."

Last week, it was revealed that DiDio would be leaving DC after working for the company in various capacities since 2010. During his time at DC, DiDio oversaw the release of two major initiatives, the New 52 and Rebirth. The official reason for DiDio's departure hasn't been released.

Gary Frank, meanwhile, has enjoyed a successful career at DC in his own right. Most recently, he and Geoff Johns wrapped up the 12-issue Doomsday Clock, which served as the culmination of the aforementioned Rebirth.
