The huge DC Future State event will revamp characters and introduce new legacy heroes. DC Future State books will be launching throughout January and February of 2021. For these two months, DC will only be publishing DC Future State stories, which include oversized anthology comics containing multiple stories, two-issue limited series, and a variety of one-shots.

The launch titles in January and February are being broken down into three groups with thematic connections between them. This list focuses on the eight Justice League Family titles, which include three oversized comics and five monthly mini-series and one-shots.

8 Future State: Justice League #1-2

This oversized anthology features two stories about different Justice Leagues. In "Justice League" by Joshua Williamson and Robson Rocha, the team is comprised of Jonathan Kent as Superman, Yara Flor as Wonder Woman, Jo Mullein as Green Lantern, Andy Curry as Aquawoman, a new Flash from the Multiverse, and an as of yet unconfirmed version of Batman. The team seems to be framed when their adversaries wind up dead in the Hall of Justice and the team must learn to work together to solve this murder mystery and clear their names.

In "Justice League Dark" by Ram V. and Marcio Takara, magic users are being harvested and executed. Now, Zatanna and Detective Chimp (now possessed by Etrigan) are on the run and searching for old teammates like John Constantine, Ragman, and Madame Xanadu.

7 Future State: Green Lantern #1-2

Another oversized anthology, Future State: Green Lantern features two Green Lantern related stories. First up is "Last Lantern" by Geoffrey Thorne and Tom Raney. John Stewart and an elite team of Green Lanterns are on a mission to map and contact new lifeforms protected by the Green Lantern Corps, but the team finds themselves without their powers behind enemy lines when the Central Power Battery goes dark

The second story is "Tales of the Green Lantern Corps" by Josie Campbell, Ryan Cad,y and Ernie Altbacker, with Sami Basri and Clayton Henry. Taking place during the time period when the Central Power Battery goes dark in the first story, Green Lantern Jessica Cruz needs to fight against invading Yellow Lanterns of the Sinestro Corps while Guy Gardner reopens his Warriors Bar while trapped on another planet.

6 Future State: Suicide Squad

The last of the oversized anthology in the Justice League Family, Future State: Suicide Squad includes two stories and two issues. The first story, "Suicide Squad" by Robbie Thompson and Javi Fernandez, takes place in the Future State era in which Amanda Waller has saved the world with Task Force X and remade it in her image. Now it's up to the Suicide Squad to stop her!

The second story, "Black Adam" by Jeremy Adams and Fernando Pasarin, takes place in the 853rd century. Black Adam rules the planet Kahndaq and must protect his planet against a threat from the past.

5 Future State: Aquaman

In this Future State: Aquaman two-issue mini-series by Brandon Thomas and Daniel Sampere, Jackson Hyde is the new Aquaman and he is mentoring Arthur and Mera's teenage daughter Andy Curry. The two find themselves in big trouble when they trapped in the Confluence, an interdimensional nexus connecting distant planets and galaxies through the One Great Ocean.

Through the process of returning home, Jackson loses Andy and finds himself imprisoned on Neptune. With many failed attempts to escape, Jackson may have finally found the hope he needs to get away.

4 Future State: The Flash

The two-issue Future State: The Flash by Brandon Vietti and Dale Eaglesham features Barry Allen and the other former Flashes without their powers up against Wally West! The former Kid Flash has been possessed by an evil force trapped for thousands of years inside the Speed Force, and the Flashes must try and save Wally from himself, die trying, or put an end to his threat permanently.

3 Future State: Teen Titans

The two-issue Future State: Teen Titans, by Tim Sheridan and Rafa Sandoval takes place after the school formed by the New Teen Titans lost numerous pupils. Returning to the site of their failure, Nightwing, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Cyborg join Raven to take on the great evil that took down their school and students.

The Titans are forced to team up with former student Red X. This marks his first comics appearance ever, having previously only been in Teen Titans (2003-2006) and Teen Titans Go! (2013-present).

2 Future State: SHAZAM!

In the Future State: SHAZAM! two-shot by Tim Sheridan and Eduardo Pansica, Billy Batson has been missing for years since his sacrifice during the Final Battle of Titans Island, leaving his team questioning whose in control of Shazam. This story takes place after the events of Future State: Teen Titans and reveals the mystery behind Billy's sacrifice and imprisonment of an ultimate, unkillable evil.

1 Future State: Swamp Thing

This two issue mini-series Future State: Swamp Thing by Ram V and Mike Perkins, there is a new avatar of the Green who rules over a world in which mankind is in hiding. Until the new Swamp Thing finds a human and discovers a rebellion.

This Swamp Thing is happy to take violent means to get what he wants, along with his creations, so a war with humanity is about to begin!
