The CEO of Warner Bros. has offered some insight into what kind of DC Universe future titles from DC Films will operate in."Everything's connected now & we're building a DC Universe plan that's much more centrally connected, but individually executed. Recently, DC Films President Walter Hamada revealed that there were ambitious plans ahead for the studio, which included an annual release slate of four theatrical DC movies as well as two movies for the HBO Max streaming platform. Speculation has emerged that film adaptations of Batgirl and Static Shock are among the DC Films headed for HBO Max, though neither Hamada nor Warner Bros. has confirmed this.

Kicking off in 2013 with Man of Steel, the DC Extended Universe spans nine feature films, with the most recent addition being Wonder Woman 1984. Among the upcoming titles for the franchise are The Suicide Squad, Black Adam and The Flash. Warner Bros. has also been engaging in DC movies divorced from this universe, such as the smash-hit Joker and the upcoming Matt Reeves film The Batman.
