Rumors have been swirling around Injustice 3 for a few months now. A recent leak, via Nvidia GeForce Now, suggests the third game in Netherealm Studio's superhero franchise will be called Injustice 3: Gods Will Fall. While the listing has yet to be confirmed, a follow-up leak potentially revealed the game's complete roster, which supposedly includes John Constantine, Anti-Monitor and He-Man.

While video game fans are growing more excited for a potential new entry in the acclaimed fighting game series, it's possible Boon is attending DC Fandome to discuss the launch of the Injustice animated film. The movie will chronicle Superman's transformation from humanity's savior to a totalitarian dictator of Earth. Kal-El's tirade of violence is brought on Joker tricking him into murdering both Lois Lane and their unborn child. While many members of the Justice League join Superman's regime, Batman disagrees with his methods and begins an Insurgency to remove him from power.

The last game to feature Superman and Batman's feud was Injustice 2, which launched to wide-spread praise from both fans and critics alike. Set immediately after the events of Injustice: Gods Among Us, the game was lauded for its dense, complex mechanics and large roster of iconic characters. While it earned itself a dedicated fanbase, many criticized Netherealm Studios and Warner Bros. Entertainment for including loot boxes in the game, a feature many believe impacted Injustice 2's overall quality.

While DC Comics fans may best know Netherealm Studios for the Injustice franchise, the long-running video game developer is also responsible for the Mortal Kombat series. The eleventh game in the hyper-violent fighting game series launched in 2019 to universal praise.

Injustice will be available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray and digital on Oct. 19.
