There were plenty of teases, previews and trailers released at DC FanDome on Saturday, including a musical tease from composer Tom Holkenborg, also known by his stage name Junkie XL, who debuted a preview of his theme for Zack Snyder’s Justice League. "I am so excited to be back and finish Justice League with Zack Snyder," he said. "There’s a lot of work that needs to be done, obviously, even though I already did a lot of work. Right now, I’m in the middle of finishing an action bit with the new Justice League theme, and I want to preview a little bit of that."

This section of the thunderous score is part of a larger theme, meant to be played during an action sequence featuring the entirety of the Justice League. The music is soaring and intense, perfect for a superhero action scene.

Holkenborg was originally hired to score Justice League in 2017 and has revealed in past interviews that the score for the film exists in its entirety but he was reluctant to release it to the public. However, when Zack Snyder had to step down as director for the original film, Joss Whedon took over the project and Holkenborg was replaced by composer Danny Elfman.

Snyder confirmed that Holkenborg would be returning as the composer for his cut of the Justice League back in July, along with Hans Zimmer. Holkenborg previously worked with Snyder while composing the score for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and has also composed the scores of films such as Man of Steel, Mad Max: Fury Road and Dead Pool.

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon. Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere on HBO Max in 2021.
