Arrowverse's showrunner Marc Guggenheim promised fans a "fun surprise" during the "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Behind the Scenes of the Arrowverse Crossover panel" at DC's FanDome; however, the surprise never came as the panel failed to air exclusive deleted footage.Although Guggenheim moderated the panel, he confessed to a fan on Twitter that he wasn't sure what happened to the scene's planned airing. "They were supposed to show a deleted scene," Guggenheim responded. "I don't know why they didn't." Guggenheim didn't elaborate further about the scene's whereabouts so it's unclear if the footage was intentionally left out of the panel or who or what the deleted scene entailed.RELATED: DC FanDome Viewers Reporting Widespread Technical Issues

The Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover television event, based on the comic book maxiseries of the same name by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, wove characters from Supergirl, Batwoman, Black Lightning, The Flash, Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow together into a shared multiverse of stories, challenges and triumph. That interconnected world was known as the Arrowverse, and it also featured cameos from characters in other DC based shows, including Tom Welling as Smallville's Clark Kent and Ezra Miller as the DC Extended Universe's Flash. At the end of crisis, the shared worlds collapsed into one universe that's been renamed by The CW to "The CWverse."

Production on various CW superhero shows --  The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman, Black Lightning and Superman & Lois -- has only just resumed, following a stop as the result of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) which cut seasons of the various shows short. The CWverse's shows are expected to start airing again in Jan. 2021.
