Wonder Woman will be celebrating an important milestone in 2021 -- almost 80 years old and she hasn’t aged a day. Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman) and very special guest, actress Lynda Carter, revealed a special logo at DC FanDome on Saturday to commemorate the character’s upcoming 80th anniversary.

The logo features Diana’s classic colors -- red, blue and gold -- and debuted during a special 80th-anniversary panel to celebrate the Wonder Woman's long-lasting legacy and influence as one of the most inspiring (and recognizable) superheroes in popular culture. First created by William Moulton Marston, Diana made her first comic book appearance in 1941.

Carter, who first played Wonder Woman in the classic television series, appeared earlier in the day as a surprise guest for the Wonder Woman 1984 panel at FanDome, which also featured director Jenkins and cast members Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal.

"When my daughter saw [Gadot] as Wonder Woman, she said, 'I get it. I finally understand... why everyone idolizes you... I finally get what Wonder Woman means to everyone,'" Carter said. She went on to thank Gadot and Jenkins for bringing the character new life in the 2017 film Wonder Woman, the first live-action Wonder Woman since Carter’s iteration in 1975 TV series.

Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film arrives in theaters Oct. 2.
