In the DC Universe, there are few villains more frightening or powerful than the ruler of Apokolips, Darkseid. The God of Evil, Darkseid has proven over the years that he is one of the most dangerous threats ever, using his titanic powers and innumerable armies in his war against all things god in the universe.
Over in the Marvel Universe, one of the most formidable villains is a ruler himself, Doctor Doom. Leading the nation of Latveria, Doom is not only one of the smartest men on the planet but an accomplished sorcerer, a man who has beaten gods in his day. Who would win if these two villains were to face off? Let's take a look.
11 Darkseid: The Might Of Apokolips
When speaking of Darkseid, one can't discount the sheer power of his world, Apokolips. He has his Parademons, legions of cannon fodder that act as the tip of the spear, his first line of attack. Behind them, Darkseid has his elites, including the Female Furies, Kanto, and others. These are powerful lieutenants who lead his forces into battle.
Fighting Darkseid isn't as easy as fighting one being. To battle Darkseid is to battle his legions and even then, there are still more enemies to face. If one survives all of that, then there's Darkseid himself to contend with.
10 Doctor Doom: The Doombots
While Doom doesn't have the inexhaustible well of troops in the sovereign nation of Latveria, he does have a rather powerful force he can call on – his Doombots. There are two types of Doombots: Ones that are mostly meant as grunts and ones that are reproductions of Doom himself. Not only do these models look like him, but are programmed to be indistinguishable from Doom himself and armed nearly as well as he is.
The Doombots give Doctor Doom a powerful fighting force to use against his enemies. He can send waves of the grunt robots out to fight, while the more advanced models can be used to fool his enemies into thinking they're facing the real thing, lulling them into a false sense of security for when Doom strikes.
9 Darkseid: The Power Of A God
Darkseid is easily one of the most formidable beings in the DC Universe. As the God of Evil, he is immeasurably strong; this is a being who can knock Superman around with ease. He's fantastically durable, able to take untold amounts of damage before going down. Darkseid far outclasses just about any being that he would come up against.
There are few beings who can stand against Darkseid's might and he knows it. It's rare that he faces any who are equal to him and it's even rarer that he deigns to face any enemy in battle because they are no challenge for him.
8 Doctor Doom: The Power Of Doom's Armor
Iron Man gets all the credit for having cool armor but his armor can't compare to Doctor Doom's. It does a lot of the same things such as protect Doom from harm, enhance his strength, and allow him to fly and fire powerful energy blasts, but that's only the beginning. It's also chock full of other weapon systems, all the better to help Doom battle his enemies.
Doom's armor allows him to be ready for just about anything. In the past, it has allowed him to drain the powers from beings like the Silver Surfer, Aron the Rogue Watcher, and the Beyonder, making Doom a threat to even the most powerful beings in existence.
7 Darkseid: Down But Never Out
One of the things about fighting Darkseid is that he isn't just a powerful being but a force of nature. He is, after all, the God of Evil. He's extremely hard to kill and if someone is able to kill him, well, that's still not the end.
Darkseid always comes back to life because he's a fundamental part of the universe. He has to exist, so battling him is literally a never-ending battle; the exception being his son Orion, who is foretold to kill Darkseid in single combat.
6 Doctor Doom: A High-Level Intellect
Doctor Doom is easily one of the smartest people on the planet but it's not just his ability to make cool armor that makes him so smart. Doom has been dealing with things that are beyond just astrophysics or natural. Doom has dealt with interdimensional travel, ultra-powerful cosmic entities, gods and devils, and things of that nature.
Doom's intellect has allowed him to match minds with beings that are amazingly ancient and powerful. More importantly, Doom has been able to outsmart them on many occasions.
5 Darkseid: The Most Ruthless Being In The Multiverse
Darkseid is pure evil. He is a monstrous force of destruction but it's worse than that when it comes right down to it. The planet Apokolips is a perfect representation of what Darkseid wants for the universe: A world of beaten-down slaves worshiping the source of their pain. That is the fate of the universe with Darkseid in charge.
Darkseid plays his greatest servants against each other because any suffering caused by him fuels his maniacal will. Under Darkseid everyone, even his servants, are meant to suffer and he enjoys it.
4 Doctor Doom: One Of The Most Powerful Sorcerers On The Planet
Doctor Doom's mother was a powerful magic user, selling her soul to Mephisto for more power. Later in life, Doom would learn magic in order to get her back. Much like everything Doom put his mind to, he would excel at magic. He would become one of the best sorcerers on the planet, always in the running for Sorcerer Supreme.
Doctor Doom's mystical skill takes a man that is already formidable and makes him that much more dangerous. He's vied with all kinds of powerful beings using his magic, always finding a way to triumph.
3 Darkseid: The Power Of Omega
Darkseid's greatest power is the Omega Beams. He can fire them from anywhere and they will hunt down the target and destroy them utterly. It's his most dangerous power and one that has allowed him to defeat many foes without even getting off his throne. On top of that, he also has the Omega Sanction that allows him to throw his opponents through time and turn them into a weapon.
These powers allow Darkseid the ability to defeat just about any being he comes across without lifting a finger, making him one of the most feared beings in the cosmos.
2 Doctor Doom: God Killer
Doctor Doom has spent years proving just how great he is. One of the things that makes him so great is the fact that he's been able to single-handedly defeat some of the most powerful beings in the universe. Take the Beyonder, a being so powerful that the laws of nature don't apply to him. Doom's armor allowed him to drain the being's omnipotent power.
This wouldn't be the last time Doom was able to defeat an all-powerful being; it's become one of his hallmarks over the years. He has even become a god himself, saving what was left of the universe.

Doctor Doom is one of the most formidable villains to exist in any universe but he's still just a man and that's his downfall against the Lord of Apokolips. Darkseid and the power of Apokolips would be able to overwhelm any defenses Doom could set up in Latveria.
While Doom has been able to overcome powerful beings in the past, Darkseid and all he can bring to bear would allow him to destroy Marvel's powerful being.
