McFarlane Toys recently announced its next wave of action figures in its DC Multiverse Build-A-Figure line on social media. The new figures are based on DC Comic's Dark Nights: Death Metal series by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. Founder Todd McFarlane took to Facebook and Twitter to display the figures, which sport designs inspired by Capullo's artwork.RELATED: Death Metal: The Multiverse Who Laughs Offers Twists Takes on Familiar Favoriteshttps://business.facebook.com/liketoddmcfarlane/videos/817033949135607/

The figures include Wonder Woman sporting her Lasso of Truth-powered chainsaw and angelic armor, as well as the demonic Robin King. The line also has a leather trenchcoat-wearing Batman and a Superman infected by the Anti-Life Equation. Each figure comes with a piece to build Darkfather -- a version of Bruce Wayne who defeated the New God Darkseid and absorbed his powers. It was Darkfather who imprisoned Superman, utilizing the Man of Steel to power a now dead sun that housed New Apokolips.

This is not the first time McFarlane Toys created a line of figures based on Snyder and Capullo's work. In September, McFarlane posted a video showcasing figures inspired by their Black Label series, Batman: Last Knight on Earth. Their series featured the Dark Knight awakening in a dystopian world and combatting a future version of himself named Omega, with the disembodied head of the Joker for company.

The Dark Nights: Death Metal DC Multiverse wave of figures will go on sale in Spring 2021.
