DC Universe's daily news show DC Daily has officially been canceled, and will air its final episodes over the course of the next month before coming to an end in early July.

"After more than 400 episodes, DC Daily will air its final broadcast on Friday, July 3," a DC Entertainment spokesperson said in a statement to Collider. "This year has brought more challenges than the show could overcome. We thank all the fans and talent and hosts for bringing this show to life. It's been a fun ride."

Of all the original shows on DC Universe streaming service, DC Daily is the least expensive to produce. Evidently, however, the news program simply could not overcome the unexpected production challenges that have arisen as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Still, DC Universe appears to be affording the show's hosts a farewell tour, of sorts, allowing them a chance to bid viewers farewell before DC Daily comes to an end next month. In fact, a new episode will air today in just a short while at 6 p.m. ET.

DC Daily premiered in September of 2018. Presented by Tiffany Smith, the series has featured numerous hosts, panelists and guests over its 400+ episode run to talk all things DC, such as Hector Navarro, Clarke Wolfe, Samm Levine, Sam Humphries, Whitney Moore, Amy Dallen, Harley Quinn Smith, John Kourounis Brian Tong, Markeia McCarty and John Barrowman.
