Since the advent of the New 52 relaunch, DC Comics has recommitted itself to publishing Annuals that tie back to their monthly titles. Today, the publisher released info on its October slate of double-sized issues, led by books tying directly into various DC Universe family events.

In the Green Lantern corner of the line, writer Robert Venditti teams with Sean Chen to wrap the incoming "Lights Out!" crossover in Annual #2. Meanwhile, writer Scott Lobdell uses his books to expand two long simmering storylines with "Superman Annual" #2 kicking off a tale titled "Krypton Returns" which follows up on the recently concluded "H'El On Earth" story cycle and "Teen Titans Annual" #2 setting up an anniversary issue as part of its current time traveling arc. Other Annuals include a "Nightwing" entry focusing on Dick Grayson's relationship with Batgirl and a new "Aquaman" tale by John Ostrander focusing on The Others.
