The DC Universe is home to some incredibly powerful individuals. Over the years, these powers have been morphed, evolved, shared, passed down, cloned, and a whole plethora of other options. As a result, many younger individuals have found themselves with similar god-like powers.

Seeing younger versions of characters with superpowers has led to some very interesting stories about struggle and responsibility. As the younger heroes grow more and more popular in pop culture, many have found themselves debating who is more powerful than who, much like they do with the older characters. To weigh in on the ever-popular argument, here is our list of DC’s 10 most powerful superteens.

10 Blue Beetle

Jaime Reyes is the third person to call himself Blue Beetle and also the most unique of the three. Unlike his predecessors, Jaime’s abilities are derived from an alien scarab that was originally sent to take over the Earth. After becoming damaged, though, the scarab cannot operate at full capacity, meaning that Jaime retains control over its power most of the time.

With the help of the scarab, Jaime is able to construct alien technology capable of decimating whole towns. He can also use the tech to fly, enhance his vision, translate other languages, survive in extreme temperatures and so much more. Jaime, however, has the disadvantage of constantly fighting for control over his body.

9 Miss Martian

Miss Martian is, hands down, one of DC’s more powerful superteens. Making her original debut in the pages of Teen Titans, M’gann M’orzz was introduced as Martian Manhunter’s niece. However, as in the TV show, it is later revealed that she is actually a white martian who has switched sides.

Like her “uncle,” M’gann has the ability to fly, shapeshift, control/move things telepathically, phase through objects, and boasts superhuman strength. To put it simply, Miss Martian has the potential to be as strong as Superman, if not stronger. However, a key weakness that all martians share is fire. Without such a major weakness, Miss Martian would potentially be unstoppable.

8 Impulse

Bart Allen is Barry Allen’s grandson from the future. Throughout his history, Bart has operated under the codename Impulse, Kid Flash, and even gone on to be the Flash himself.

At the moment, it is unclear where he stands exactly in regards to how fast he truly is. That doesn’t change the fact that Bart possesses immense power. For starters, he can travel at incredible speeds. This has given him the ability to travel through time and change history. Furthermore, unlike his grandfather, Bart can retain all of the information that he processed at superspeed. Barry, on the other hand, can only retain the info for a few moments after he slows down.

7 Cyborg

Most people are likely familiar with Cyborg as a character, thanks to his appearances in comics, TV, and even the movies. Following DC’s New 52 continuity relaunch, the character was actually given several major upgrades. The basics of his origin remain the same, though: high school football star Vic Stone fell victim to an explosion in his father’s lab. Instead of being grafted to alien tech though, the New 52 saw Vic grafted to a motherbox, a sentient supercomputer of immense power. Thus, Cyborg was born.

Like Jaime, Cyborg can create weapons of immeasurable destruction. Unlike Jaime, Cyborg can also hack into almost any tech-based data system and even open portals to other dimensions.

6 Starfire

Most people are likely to recognize Starfire from the popular Teen Titans cartoon. While she plays a major role in the TV series, she also plays a major role in the comics. Starfire is typically a part of every iteration of the Teen Titans team, though there are a few exceptions. As a refugee from her home planet, Starfire’s alien physique gives her incredible abilities.

Like any other Kryptonian, Starfire’s powers are charged by solar radiation. Her body technically leeches it from the area around her, meaning that she can also draw energy from individual beings. Going beyond that, she has enhanced strength and durability and can even dispel some of her stored energy in the form of fire blasts.

5 Raven

Raven is another popular Teen Titan who has also made several appearances in other forms of media. In the comics, the lonely, dark teenager was brought up to show as little emotion as possible, as that would be what her evil father, the demon, Trigon, would use to take over her body.

Daddy issues aside, Raven still possesses a very unique skill set. As a result of her father’s DNA, Raven can separate her soul from her physical body and technically be in two places at once. She can also tap into and manipulate people’s emotions, which has proven to help and harm in very extreme cases. Lastly, when Raven really lets loose, her father’s influence becomes stronger, making her all the more powerful.

4 Teen Lantern

Keli Quintela’s Teen Lantern has already established herself as one of DC’s most powerful teenagers. Debuting as part of Brian Michael Bendis’ new Young Justice lineup, Keli has been shown to have all the powers of a typical Green Lantern officer. Keli is unique from the other lanterns in that she actually hacked her green lantern ring meaning that she isn’t technically “worthy” of her power.

It does, however, prove that she is also incredibly smart for her age, as she was successfully able to hack into one of the most powerful weapons in the universe. Her brilliant mind combined with an incredibly powerful tool like the Green Lantern ring makes her a very formidable opponent.

3 Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark)

Cassie Sandsmark is a younger version of Wonder Woman’s original sidekick, Donna Troy. While Donna has always been very similar to Diana, Cassie, on the other hand, has a few key differences. Cassie was born human and happened to be granted powers and abilities from Zeus himself. Following that, Diana took her in and trained her to fight with the other Amazons.

Strictly speaking, Cassie is just as powerful as Wonder Woman. Furthermore, Cassie is also in possession of several magical, godly items that give her more abilities or enhance the ones she already has.

2 Superboy

Much as Wonder Girl is a younger Wonder Woman, Suberboy is essentially a younger Superman. Connor Kent is a clone of Superman’s DNA (and Lex Luthor’s of all people). Originally debuting following the Death of Superman story, Connor has held a pretty large presence in the DCU up until the New 52 relaunch.

As Superboy, Connor possesses all of the same powers as Superman, instantly making him one of the most powerful teenagers on the planet. However, Superboy’s powers are typically watered down by his human DNA, meaning that he will never get quite as strong as Superman himself. His abilities also require a recharge from the yellow sun’s energy, making him stronger the more sunlight he is exposed to.

1 Supergirl

There is likely not a single teenager who is stronger than Kara Zor-El. The only thing that makes her more powerful than Superboy is that she has pure Kryptonian DNA. Originally launched to Earth moments after her infant cousin, Kara’s ship would get blown off course, allowing him to grow up while she remained in a frozen stasis.

From there, Kara would discover her own abilities under a yellow sun and follow in her cousin’s example as Supergirl. She also possesses all of the same powers as Superman, putting her on an equal playing field with the Man of Steel himself.
