Dark Nights: Metal has been hyped as a Batman-driven event, but aside from the announcements of seven one-shots featuring evil versions of the character spawned from the depths of the Dark Multiverse, most of what we've seen thus far has featured the entire Justice League. In fact, from what we've seen in the early preview of the event's first issue and the prequel one-shots Dark Days: The Forge and Dark Days: The Casting, Metal appears poised to explore a number of heroes that exist well outside the Dark Knight's traditional circle of friends and enemies.

That changed late yesterday with the announcement of the Batman Lost one-shot, written by Metal architect Scott Snyder with art by Olivier Coipel and Bengal. Though details are scarce, the single issue story will strand Batman alone in the Dark Multiverse, where he will "face his greatest fears."
