DC Comics has released the first preview pages for The Flash Annual #1, a prelude to "Flash War," a major turning point in not only Barry Allen's life, but the DC Universe overall. One major repercussion of the story arc could see the addition of Bart Allen to Flash's Rebirth mythology.

The first two pages from artist Howard Porter offer up many Easter eggs for longtime fans of The Flash. For page number one, aside from an image of Barry racing the original Wally West Kid Flash on a broken monitor, Abra Kadabra puppets are shown laying on the ground, with the face of the Impulse puppet smashed to pieces. Another image sees Barry in the middle of his iconic race with Superman, to see who is truly the fastest man in the world. Also, another computer screen displays the God of Speed Savitar, who could possibly play a role once Flash War begins. The villain also served as the central antagonist in Season 3 of The CW's The Flash.

The second page looks like the inside of the Flash Museum, with individuals walking around taking readings with an electronic device. Though we may be inside the Flash Museum, some things still look a little off. For example, a lower level of the building has the words "Life of Iris Allen" displayed, yet in the current Rebirth continuity, Iris and Barry aren't married. Other things worth mentioning are cardboard cutouts of Barry's time on the Justice League, the Tornado Twins Don and Dawn Allen (Barry and Iris' kids), Max Mercury, and more.

The final two pages show both Wally West's saving civilians from an attack by The Top, and older Wally West in an intense confrontation with Barry.
