DC Comics to Showcase Young Reader Imprints DC Ink & DC Zoom at FCBD

Previously, DC Comics announced two new graphic novel imprints targeted at younger readers, the young adult imprint DC Ink and the middle grade imprint DC Zoom (not to be confused with villains Eobard Thawne or Hunter Zolomon).

Three graphic novels from these new labels (Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass, Mera and DC Super Hero Girls: Search for Atlantis) went on sale in late 2018. However, DC is planning to roll out many more this year. As such, the Burbank-based comics publisher will be releasing previews of upcoming titles from both imprints for Free Comic Book Day 2019 on Saturday, May 4.

Representing DC Ink will be Under the Moon: A Catwoman Tale (FCBD Special Edition), which will feature a free chapter from the upcoming Catwoman-centric tale by author Lauren Myracle and artist Isaac Goodhart. The full graphic novel is currently slated to hit shelves on May 7.

Additionally, the FCBD edition of Under the Moon will feature a sneak preview of another upcoming DC Ink title, Teen Titans: Raven, which comes from author Kami Garcia and artist Gabriel Picolo, and is expected to be released in its entirety on July 2.

Meanwhile, representing DC Zoom will be Dear Justice League (FCBD Special Edition), which will feature not one, but two free chapters starring Superman and Hawkgirl from the upcoming original graphic novel by author Michael Northrop and artist Gustavo Duarte. The full graphic novel is set to be released on Aug. 6.
