Artist George Pérez's iconic cover for 1980's The New Teen Titans #1 will be recreated in a 6-inch multi-part statue set featuring Starfire, Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl and Raven. In addition, DC Collectibles will launch DC Core, its first line of 9-inch scale PVC statues, featuring The Joker, Batman, Wonder Woman, Batgirl and other characters.

“DC Collectibles is always looking for new ways to bring our rich portfolio of DC Super Heroes and stories to life, and PVC allows us to create complex, exaggerated poses we’ve never tried before,” Jim Fletcher, DC Collectibles’ executive creative director, said in a statement. “With PVC, we don’t have to worry as much about breakage, since the material is more durable than resin, and we can offer these statues at a lower price point without sacrificing quality. Fans will be amazed at the great attention to detail given to each character, and we hope they are as thrilled with the DC Core designs as we are.”

DC Core's first statue will see the Clown Prince of Crime transformed in all of his terrorizing glory in August, with Batman in September, and Batgirl and Wonder Woman in November.

Sculpted by Joe Menna, The New Teen Titans lineup will retail for $80 each. DC Core's sale price will be $50 each.
