There are no bones about it- Wonder Woman is one of the greatest heroes in DC. She's the total package- one of the strongest heroes around, an amazing combatant, and an inspiration for generations of heroes and readers. She's a linchpin of the Justice League and when she strides onto the battlefield, her enemies pay attention- a whole world of hurt is about to get brought to evildoers.

However, as amazing as Wonder Woman is, she's not unbeatable. In fact, there are plenty of heroes and villains who Wonder Woman has never beat, whether it be because they beat her or because she hasn't had the opportunity to teach them the fear of Wonder Woman.

10 No One Hero Can Handle The Anti-Monitor

The Anti-Monitor

The Anti-Monitor is one of the most powerful and dangerous threats the DC Universe has ever faced. This is a being who was responsible for the destruction of countless universes; his threat took the heroes of five universes to face down. While he's been through a massive power downgrade in the years since, Wonder Woman still doesn't stand a chance against him.

In fact, even during the times when he was beaten, Wonder Woman was rarely even part of the group of heroes who did it. She's never faced him on her own but it's pretty much a foregone conclusion of how it would go- she'd lose.

9 Eclipso Smacks Around Just About Everyone

eclipso

Eclipso is one of the most dangerous beings in the DC Universe. Not only is he massively powerful but he can also take control of those he fights, adding them to his army. He's the type of villain that it takes a team to beat and even then, they better have some kind of trick up their sleeve. In fact, saying that Eclipso has ever been defeated is a misnomer- most of the time, his black diamond is just wrested from his host.

Wonder Woman has battled against him several times but usually ended up under his sinister control. While her side won, Wonder Woman has rarely had any part of the actual victory.

8 Ra's al Ghul Used Batman's Plans Against Her

Ra's al Ghul Returns

Ra's al Ghul is one of the most dangerous immortals in the DC Universe and while he and Wonder Woman have rarely crossed paths, he was able to take her down the one time she faced him and his forces on her own. Ra's had gotten his hands on Batman's anti-JLA plans and used them against the team.

Wonder Woman got taken down like the rest of the team and was only able to break free because Batman was able to tell the team ways to reverse the attacks. The League would triumph but they failed in the Ra's al Ghul column.

7 The Upside-Down Man Was Constantly One Step Ahead Of Her

The Upside-Down Man was one of the most dangerous magical predators in the DC Universe and Wonder Woman and the Justice League Dark fought him constantly. They were never actually able to beat him until the final battle and even then, Zatanna won the battle, not Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman fought him with the team several times but he was always able to escape them. At one point, Wonder Woman had to make a deal with him in order to defeat one of the team's foes. While Diana's power made it possible for Zatanna to win, she lost every battle against the powerful Otherkind.

6 Supergirl Has Been Able To Beat Wonder Woman

Supergirl Red Kryptonite

Supergirl is a way better hero than she gets credit for, even rivaling her illustrious cousin. She's always taken inspiration from Wonder Woman and they've rarely if ever fought. However, when Kara Zor-El was reintroduced to the DC Universe in writer Jeph Loeb and late artist Michael Turner's "The Supergirl From Krypton", she and Wonder Woman fought- both as practice and when Supergirl was a brainwashed Female Fury- and Wonder Woman couldn't defeat the young Kryptonian.

Kryptonians are very powerful and Supergirl is no different. While Wonder Woman had her beaten skills-wise, she couldn't compete with Supergirl's power.

5 General Zod And The Phantom Zone Criminals Defeated Everyone, Including Wonder Woman

General Zod steals a Green Lantern ring

In writers Geoff Johns and the late Richard Donner and artist Adam Kubert's "Last Son of Krypton", Zod and the Phantom Zone criminals attacked and were able to defeat Superman, exiling him to the Phantom Zone. While he would eventually break out, he would find the Earth under the control of Zod and his Kryptonians, with all of the heroes imprisoned by them.

It's no surprise that Zod and company were able to beat the heroes- a bunch of criminal Kryptonians is pretty scary and would easily be able to defeat the heroes, including Wonder Woman. She probably held out pretty long against them but fell in the end.

4 Zatanna And Wonder Woman Have Never Fought But It Wouldn't End Well For The Amazon

Zatanna feature

Zatanna and Wonder Woman have been friends for a long time and worked pretty well together in the Justice League Dark. Both of them are good at different things but if it came down to a fight between the two, Zatanna would easily triumph. Zatanna is used to dealing with powerful foes and would work quickly to take out her old friend.

Wonder Woman is good but she's also an honorable woman; she wouldn't go all out against Zatanna right away, which would be a mistake. Zatanna can beat just about anyone when it comes down to it and would add Wonder Woman to that list if they fought.

3 Superboy-Prime Has Beaten Just About Everyone

2. Superboy Prime posing menacingly

Superboy-Prime and Wonder Woman didn't get a lot of face-to-face time in battle. That's actually a pretty good thing for Wonder Woman. As powerful as she is, Superboy-Prime easily dwarfed her and while he wouldn't be able to kill her as easily as he did some other heroes, she wouldn't do well against him.

She was part of the League during his battle against them during the Battle of Metropolis and the Sinestro Corps War and both times, they rarely interacted but if they did, it would have been very bad for Diana. She can't beat regular Superman, so she'd have no chance against him.

2 Perpetua Was Undefeated Until The Batman Who Laughs Took Her Down

DC Dark Nights Death Metal Perpetua Erases Earths

Perpetua was one of the gravest threats the Justice League ever faced. She was even more powerful than the Anti-Monitor and beat the Justice League at every turn. Every time the League faced off against her, she defeated them. Even the Perpetua-powered Legion of Doom beat them at every turn, which was pretty unprecedented on its own.

Perpetua was just way too much for any one being and the only reason the Batman Who Laughs was able to beat her is because he was able to get the powers of Doctor Manhattan. Wonder Woman may have been able to beat her in her final form that defeated the Batman Who Laughs- but she never got to face Perpetua in that form.

1 Superman Has Always Beat Wonder Woman

Superman Fifth Dimension DC Comics

Superman isn't the most powerful being in the DC Universe but he usually wins. Wonder Woman has been able to hold her own against him on many occasions but holding her own and winning are two different things. Superman is just too overwhelmingly powerful for her and she knows it.

One of their most memorable fights was in "Sacrifice" when she faced off against a Maxwell Lord controlled Superman. While her skill helped her stay ahead of him, she knew she was outclassed from the beginning. She was forced to kill Lord to break his control of Superman; otherwise, he would have destroyed her.
