Despite Stan Lee's concept of Peter Parker having dating troubles, Peter has dated many people in the Marvel Comics universe. His most notable relationships include: Gwen Stacy, a beacon of hope ripped from Peter's life; Black Cat, a dangerous yet alluring villain and eventual ally; and Mary Jane Watson, the woman Peter married and trusted with his secret identity.

Spider-Man is all about power and responsibility, and he usually ends up with like-minded people who share his values. If Spidey were to cross over into the DC Comics universe, he'd most likely fall in love with people who share his sense of right and wrong, or have experienced similar hardships.

10 Dawn Granger Is The Embodiment Of Hope

Hawk and Dove on a rooftop from DC Comics

Dawn Granger became the second Dove along with her sister, the second Hawk. The duo followed in their predecessors' footsteps, fighting crime as costumed heroes. Dawn possessed a type of "danger-sense" similar to Peter's Spider-Sense. If there were threats nearby, she'd simply say the word "Dove" and transform.

Beyond her increased stamina and agility, Dawn Granger is also considered an Avatar of Hope. This title is prominent in the Tales of the Dark Multiverse one-shot where the worst possible outcome of the Blackest Night comic event is explored.

9 Lana Lang Would Be A Great Ally To Peter

Lana becomes the new Superwoman

Lana Lang was Clark's high school crush and a main character in comic books like The New Adventures of Superboy. But once Clark left Smallville and moved to Metropolis, he and the fans fell in love with the Daily Planet reporter, Lois Lane.

Lana was a lot like Gwen Stacy. Both were the heroes' first loves, and both represented a simpler life that didn't involve clones or alien invasions. While a version of Gwen developed superpowers and became Spider-Woman in Marvel's Earth-65, the New 52 version of Lana became the new Superwoman after absorbing Superman's powers.

8 Soranik Natu Follows In Her Father's Footsteps

soranik natu flies with the Green Lanterns

Soranik Natu's perception of the Green Lantern Corps was somewhat warped thanks to her father, Sinestro, who convinced his home planet Korugar that the Guardians of the Universe were evil. When Soranik became a Green Lantern herself, she realized how wrong Sinestro was.

Years later, after Sinestro's death, Soranik led her father's Yellow Lanterns of fear. She attempted to use the corps to pursue justice, the way the Green Lanterns used their power. Soranik was a surgeon in her past life and valued life over anything else. Her compassion would make her a great companion of Peter Parker's.

7 Starfire & Peter Would Make A Great Couple

Nightwing and Starfire kiss comics

Created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, Starfire first appeared in DC Comics Presents #26 and soon joined Wolfman's New Teen Titans lineup alongside heroes like Raven, Beast Boy, and Robin. Starfire and Dick Grayson developed a strong relationship over the course of the series.

Dick and Peter share many qualities: both became superheroes when they were teenagers, both like to make jokes in the heat of battle, and both are highly respected and admired in their superhero communities. Starfire was a fish out of water when she first arrived on Earth, but she was drawn to Robin. She'd most likely be drawn to the similar qualities in Spider-Man.

6 Dana Tan Knows The Secretive Life Of A Superhero

Dana Tan from Batman Beyond comics

Dana Tan was Terry McGinnis's high school girlfriend during the Batman Beyond animated series. She's appeared in many Batman Beyond comics and officially entered DC Comics' main continuity during the line-wide Rebirth relaunch.

Dana was a fairly shallow character in the animated series. A few episodes focused on her, but she was mostly sidelined because of Terry's Batman duties. In Batman Beyond 2.0, their relationship was strained after discovering Terry's secret. Spider-Man's relationship troubles often stemmed from his double life, however, Dana would be familiar with the risks and hardships that life brought.

5 Supergirl Uses Her Great Power For Good

New 52's Supergirl breaking free from chains

Kara Zor-El, a.k.a. Supergirl, possesses some of the greatest power in the DC universe. She often demonstrates more power than Superman, evidenced when Darkseid recruits her in Superman/Batman by Jeph Loeb or when she physically attacks the Anti-Monitor in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Kara is given this great power when she landed on Earth, and thanks to her cousin and the Kents, she's been instilled with a sense of responsibility. Sure, she has a temper, and she's been mind-controlled on occasions, but so has Spider-Man. The two heroes share a lot in common, from their values to their experiences losing their parental figures.

4 Stephanie Brown Knows The Life Of A Vigilante

Batgirls #7 Stephanie Brown from DC Comics banner

Stephanie Brown is a prolific member of the Bat Family who doesn't get enough attention. Stephanie debuts as the vigilante Spoiler in Detective Comics #648 before becoming Robin in Robin #126. She later becomes Batgirl, headlining her own series in 2009.

Even though Batman initially rejected the idea of Stephanie becoming the new Robin, she quickly proved herself worthy of the title. Both Stephanie and Peter Parker became heroes because of their father figures, although Peter did so after Uncle Ben's death while Stephanie did so to stop her father — the criminal known as Cluemaster.

3 Jessica Cruz Gained Great Power

Jessica Cruz punches Guy Gardner in DC Comics

Geoff John's Green Lantern run was legendary. In just under 10 years, Johns crafted epic comic book events like "Sinestro Corps War," Blackest Night, "War of the Green Lanterns," and more. In those events, he also created compelling, emotionally-driven characters like Atrocitus, Larfleeze, and Jessica Cruz.

Jessica was chosen by the Ring of Volthoom, a corrupted version of a Green Lantern ring from the evil Earth-3. She tried to reject the ring, but it took control of her. With the help of the Justice League, she eventually found the willpower to overcome Volthoom's influence. Like Peter, Jessica was given great power and has used that power to become one of Earth's protectors.

2 Terra Wields Uncontrollable Power

Terra first appeared in New Teen Titans #26, and could manipulate the earth, causing powerful quakes. While she fought alongside the Teen Titans, she was ultimately revealed to be a double agent working for Deathstroke. Terra was quick-tempered, and she could become extremely powerful if pushed over the edge.

Peter Parker also held back his true power out of fear of hurting others. When Otto Octavius took over Peter's body in Superior Spider-Man, he nearly killed Scorpion with one punch. Both Terra and Peter have great power, but must keep the height of their powers under control to protect others.

1 Catwoman Can Be Alluring But Dangerous

Selina Kyle Catwoman climbing a window in DC comics

Catwoman is a cat burglar who sometimes acts like a dangerous criminal. She fights for what she believes in, and will resort to crime to further her cause — challenging anyone who gets in her way. She has also become one of Batman's greatest allies. Selina Kyle is a lot like Spider-Man's love interest the Black Cat, a.k.a. Felicia Hardy.

If Spider-Man were to cross over into the DC Comics universe, he'd probably be attracted to Catwoman for the same reasons he fell for Black Cat. The difference, however, was that Selina and Bruce appeared to have found happiness in Tom King's Batman/Catwoman, whereas Peter and Felicia could never make their relationship last.
