When it comes to Batman's greatest enemies, Joker is extremely high up that list. He rarely dips below the top five. Be it for his showmanship, villainy, or entertaining flair, fans and creators alike have grabbed onto this beloved villain and will not be letting go anytime soon. He has long been one of the most consistent thorns in the side of Batman as well as the Caped Crusader's extended family. Honestly, even most of Gotham's villains aren't all that fond of him.

Joker has proven on more than a few occasions to be a formidable opponent for a myriad of heroes and villains across DC. That being said, there are several of them he has never been able to truly defeat. Even the Clown Prince of Crime doesn't come through every time.

10 Green Lantern Has Handled A Lot Of Wild People In His Career

Over the course of his long career as a member of the Green Lantern Corps, Hal Jordan has dealt with a lot of overwhelming threats. And on more than a few occasions, he has been the threat that other heroes have had to deal with.

Jordan hasn't exactly had a lot of run-ins with the Joker over the years. They generally move in extremely different circles. That being said, Joker has never been able to overcome this powerful adversary.

9 Joker And Lex Luthor Fought To A Draw

An image of Lex Luthor holding blueprints and smugly smiling in DC Comics

It would be hard to find two villains in DC more different from each other than Joker and Lex Luthor. They operate in completely different ways. But because their respective nemesis spend so much time together, Joker and Luthor end up in each other's orbits quite frequently.

At this point, Luthor hasn't fought Joker that many times. That's likely because there's no real value in it. But the rare time they have faced off has pretty much always ended in a draw. Joker has never beaten Lex but the reverse is also true.

8 Green Arrow Might Just Put Joker Down

A lot of fans have made direct comparisons between Green Arrow and Batman over the years. Neither man has powers, each of them fighting the good fight with nothing but their skills and their weapons. The fact that they both drag teenagers into battle is another unfortunate comparison point.

Keeping that in mind, there is one huge difference between them. Green Arrow hasn't had to deal with Joker with any frequency. And he has come out on top of the few times they have faced off. Joker has actually been lucky in that regard as Green Arrow might be inclined to just kill Joker and be done with it.

7 Aquaman Would Definitely Just End Joker

On the other hand, Aquaman would absolutely just kill the Joker, be done with the threat, and turn him into chum for his sharks. Aquaman has spent a lifetime honing his skills as a warrior, becoming one of the most formidable fighters DC has to offer.

It's honestly difficult to see this fight going well for Joker. Aquaman does not suffer fools of any type, and Joker is the biggest fool around. This wouldn't even last one round before he got tired of Joker and just dropped him into the ocean.

6 Blue Beetle Has Yet To Truly Face Him

An image of Ted Kord, the Silver Age Blue Beetle, in action in artwork from DC Comics.

Ted Kord had an interesting career, to say the least. Unlike his predecessor or successor, he didn't use the powerful scarab totem that gave them their powers. Instead, he became the lighthearted equivalent of Batman, using his vast intelligence to build weapons and gadgets.

The main reason Joker has never defeated him is that they have never had a significant battle. It is also worth noting that it's nearly impossible for Blue Beetle to win this fight. Joker is just too much for him. As such, Kord should just continue his winning strategy of staying out of Joker's way.

5 It's Hard To Imagine Him Standing A Chance Against Supergirl

Joker has beaten Superman in the comics. As unlikely as that seems, the Clown Prince of Crime has defeated the Man of Steel. However, Supergirl is a completely different story.

Supergirl is not necessarily more powerful than Superman or better with her phenomenal abilities. That being said, she certainly is more capable of cutting loose and doing some real damage than her cousin is. This is one Kryptonian that Joker might want to just walk away from.

4 Wally West Would Run Right Through Him

The Flash Running Wally West

Fighting a speedster isn't for everyone. It takes a special kind of villain to step into the middle of a fight with someone moving so fast that they can barely see them, let alone lay an actual hand on them.

If anyone could think of a way to slow down a speedster to fight them, Joker's should be the guy. At the same time, Joker has never managed to beat Wally West. As fans have learned recently about Barry Allen's protege, he's not someone to be underestimated.

3 Fighting Sinestro Ends Poorly For Joker

Sinestro displays his powers

Even for the likes of Hal Jordan, taking on the leader of the Yellow Lanterns is difficult at the best of times. Sinestro was once the greatest of all the Green Lanterns. Now, he's one of their greatest enemies, not to mention one of the most feared warriors in the universe.

Joker is unpredictable and wild, which has been proven time and time again. But he's not ill-advised enough to fight someone like Sinestro. Unless he was willing to give Joker a Yellow Lantern ring, Joker would likely just hide until Sinestro was gone.

2 Deathstroke Might Gut Him Like A Fish For Fun

Deathstroke feature

As a general rule, there are several words that no one would ever use to describe Deathstroke. Jovial. Caring. Empathetic. There's a good chance that he's the most cold and calculating killer DC has to offer.

Simply put, Joker cannot beat Deathstroke in a fight. If they did face-off, it would be like watching a tiger batting a cat toy around before tearing it apart for fun. There's a reason why Joker doesn't have a win over this character.

1 Superman Would Have To Pull Krypto Off Of Joker

Krypto Mourns Superboy-Prime

A few years ago, Mongol and Mongal were tearing up Earth. Superman got in their way with his furry friend Krypto backing him up. Krypto proceeded to attack Mongol and tear out his throat with his teeth.

Krypto took down Mongol, one of the most powerful and feared beings in all of DC. And Superman's dog took him down without missing a beat. The only chance Joker has is carrying some Kryptonite around and Lex Luthor is not sharing.
