Cyclops has led the X-Men through thick and thin and has more than proven that he's one of the greatest heroes in the Marvel Universe. He's one of the best team leaders around, a master of tactics who can mold any team of heroes into a near-unstoppable fighting force. He's a fierce combatant on his own as well, his optic blasts honed by years of practice.

Cyclops has seen and done things that other heroes can only dream of. He's beaten hero and villain alike, coming out on top in the most desperate circumstances. Cyclops is always ready for a challenge, and DC's heroes would prove an interesting but not insurmountable one.

10 Cyclops Would Play Red Hood Like A Fiddle

Jason Todd Red Hood Batman

Red Hood is a tough customer and he's only gotten more formidable since his return to life. Jason Todd learned the ways of the League of Assassins and is a master of many different weapons. He's also a rather temperamental person and that is going to make this a very easy fight for Cyclops.

Red Hood is going to make things difficult for Cyclops but eventually, the mutant will realize that he can goad Red Hood into making mistakes. He'll start to mess with the young hero and before long, Cyclops will completely control the tenor of the fight. Once Red Hood makes his first big mistake, Cyclops will make him pay with a debilitating optic blast.

9 Batman Wouldn't Find Any Weakness In Cyclops To Exploit

batman arkham asylum on detective comics

Batman is known for beating people more powerful than him because of his unmatched ability to find their weakness and exploit it. While Cyclops certainly has weaknesses, they aren't the kind of thing that a guy in a batsuit with a utility belt can exploit. Because of this, it becomes a straight-up fight, and Cyclops can win that.

Batman has a few advantages over Cyclops but they aren't going to help him. Cyclop's toughness is uncanny and his optic blasts are powerful enough that Batman doesn't really have much he can do against them. It would be a tough fight but Cyclops would win.

8 Black Canary Would Give Cyclops An Epic Fight But She'd Still Lose

Black Canary Uses Her Canary Cry.

Black Canary is one of the most dangerous fighters in the DC Universe. Anyone she can't outfight, she can hit with her supersonic canary cry, an attack that has felled even the most powerful enemies. She's easily Cyclops's superior in hand-to-hand combat but his optic blasts are better than her canary cry. The equalizer between the two is that Cyclops has trained against people with sonic screams.

Black Canary doesn't break out the canary cry unless she has to, which is another factor that will play into Cyclops's favor. He could easily get an early win by cutting loose and hitting her with a wide effect optic blast that is too big for her to avoid.

7 Hawkman's Offense Isn't Going To Save Him From Cyclops

Hawkman with mace raised in air

Hawkman is one of the toughest hand-to-hand fighters out there, even if his origin is muddled at best. His Nth metal harness lets him fly, gives him super strength, and lets him heal quickly and he has millennia of experience. However, Cyclops grew up training against and fighting alongside someone with wings and that's going to help him.

While Cyclops probably won't know about the Nth metal harness, he's smart enough to target Hawkman's wings. While their loss won't stop him from flying, it will make it harder to maneuver. Cyclops's optic blasts and knowledge give him advantages that Hawkman couldn't overcome.

6 Animal Man Doesn't Have Anything That Cyclops Hasn't Dealt With

Animal Man With A Snake, Owl, Parrot, And Giraffe

Animal Man is one of the Justice League's most underrated members. His connection to the Red gives him a lot of combat options but none of them are going to be insurmountable for Cyclops. He's dealt with everything that Animal Man could throw at him and his years of serious training make him Animal Man's superior.

His optic blasts also give him a massive reach advantage over Animal Man. Most of Animal Man's powers need him to be up close and personal; Cyclops's optic blasts don't. This is going to make a huge difference and let Cyclops get the win.

5 Beast Boy's Immaturity Would Let Cyclops Beat Him

Beast Boy With His Bird, Monkey, And Bear Transformations

Beast Boy has been a superhero for a long time. He and Cyclops have both been training since they were young and basically grew up as superheroes. The biggest difference is their attitudes. Beast Boy is immature and flippant. Cyclops is serious to a fault and that's going to give him a massive advantage over Beast Boy.

Beast Boy is still a very good combatant and will give Cyclops a run for his money. It just won't matter very much in the long run. Cyclops is too focused for Beast Boy to beat; the mutant will take advantage of the younger hero's mentality and beat him.

4 Zatanna Wouldn't Cut Loose Against Cyclops Until It Was Too Late

DC Comics Zatanna With Magic And Space Themed Items Swirling Around Her

Zatanna can pull off some powerful magic when she needs to and is one of the most dangerous magic users in the DC Universe. She's been a hero a long time and has fought alongside the Justice League. She's faced some terrible threats and is going to be pretty hard for Cyclops to beat because of the sheer utility of her powers.

As good as she is, Zatanna is by nature someone who plays fair until she has no other choice. She also holds back against foes who don't seem like a huge threat. That's going to win Cyclops the fight; he'll take her down with an optic blast before she would take him down.

3 John Constantine Won't Be Able To Bluff Cyclops

John Constantine Hellblazer DC

John Constantine is known for doing as much harm as good. His heart is in the right place, though, and his magic has proven to be an equalizer many times in the past. A lot of his victories depend on his ability to fool his opponents and that's something he won't be able to do with Cyclops. The mutant leader is much too canny for all of that.

While Constantine's magic gives him way more offensive and defensive options than Cyclops, he won't get to use them. Cyclops will quickly realize just how much danger he's in and cut loose with a wide effect optic blast, taking down the British magician.

2 Starfire Would Meet Her Match Against Cyclops

Starfire

Starfire is a powerful and skilled warrior and often stood between victory and defeat for the New Teen Titans. She learned her lessons well with the teen team and is now a formidable hero. She has Cyclops beat in the strength and mobility departments but that's not going to be enough to give her the win over the mutant.

Cyclops has trained against people who fly and fire energy blasts, so Starfire isn't going to have much that he hasn't dealt with before. He's also her superior when it comes to tactics and fighting smart and that's what will let him get the win.

1 Cyclops Would Take Cyborg Apart

Cyborg discussing how he is a bridge between humans and technology

Cyborg has changed a lot over the years. He's a more well-rounded and potent combatant but none of that is going to save him against Cyclops. Cyborg may be a tank but Cyclops' optic blasts give him everything he needs to take apart his opponent.

Both heroes have long-range attack options but Cyclops has the advantage. His optic blasts have proven to work very well against armored and/or mechanical foes. By turning up the power on his blasts, he can literally disarm Cyborg. In fact, he can pretty much deprive the other hero of all of his limbs, effectively ending the fight, rather quickly.
