Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.'s long awaited Superman: Year One finally arrives later this year. To celebrate, DC Comics is debuting all three of Romita's covers for the Black Label series, along with Miller's cover art for the collections which will arrive shortly after the final issue's release.
The first issue of the large-format series is not slated to arrive in stores in June 2019. The following two issues will be released in August and October, with the series' collection hitting stores in November 2019.

In addition to the cover art (the logo is not finalized and may change), DC has released a new description for the series:
SUPERMAN: YEAR ONE is a coming-of-age story for the future Man of Steel, featuring a young alien-boy just trying to find his place in a new world. Faced with the need to hide his heritage and powers in order to survive, Clark will find his humanity through the grounding of the Kent family and the relationships that will define the man he will become. Told by two of the most revered voices in comics, SUPERMAN: YEAR ONE is more than a superhero story – it’s about the choices made by Clark Kent on his path to becoming a legend. It’s a testament to the importance of choosing to become a hero.

"Frank has this twisted imagination about what should happen, and we talked about it, and [Frank's] eyes glow," Romita told fans of the series at Comic-Con International in San Diego over the summer. "He said he's wanted to do this as long as he can remember, since, when did Batman: Year One come out? Was that 30 years ago? He said he always wanted to complete the cycle and do a Superman: Year One. Well, he finally got the chance to do it, and of course it's a hundred pages and there's a million people in it."
The project was originally announced in early 2018 as one of the launch titles for DC's Black Label line, an imprint designed to allow "premier talent the opportunity to expand upon the canon of DC’s iconic superhero comic book characters with unique, standalone stories that are outside of the current DC Universe continuity." Though Superman: Year One was originally promoted as the first Black Label series, Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo's Batman Damned arrived first, in September 2018, and immediately found controversy over its graphic Bruce Wayne nude scenes.
Superman: Year One #1, by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr., arrives in comic stores and via digital download on June 19.
