The eagerly anticipated DC Black Label Birds of Prey one-shot special by Brian Azzarello and Emanuela Lupacchino has been delayed once again.

DC has resolicited the issue, which had been previously announced for publication at the end of January, to March 4. The five-week delay means the upcoming mature readers-title will now go on sale one month after the wide theatrical release of Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). No cause for the delay has been announced at this time.

Azzarello and Lupacchino's comic was initially announced as an ongoing series set in the main DC Universe and was expected to launch in October 2019. Months later, the series was resolicited as a DC Black Label miniseries with more mature content, slated for release in February to coincide with the upcoming DC Extended Universe film.

At New York Comic-Con, it was announced that Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner would instead launch a four-issue miniseries titled Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey to coincide with the film. In the wake of this announcement, the material from Azzarello and Lupacchino's planned miniseries was announced to be collected in a 96-page DC Black Label one-shot, initially scheduled to go on sale in January.
