From the comics to the blockbuster movies, Aquaman has become one of the most fan-favorite characters in the DC universe. As seen in the comics and the movies, Aquaman protects Earth from much more than just the sea. His powers have a wide range of possibilities and his character is driven by a dark past which fuels his strides for justice.

However, at times Aquaman needs a good partner when his obstacles supersede him. When being placed into the Marvel universe, it's valid to wonder which characters he would best align with on and off the battlefield, and which ones he simply would be peeved with in one way or another.

10 TEAM UP: Thor

Chris Hemsworth as Thor

Thor and Aquaman would not only get along with each other very well, but they would fight together well in battle. The God of lightning with the God of the sea would find that they have an easy time bouncing fighting styles off one another and all the while, sharing a beer afterward.

They both have sarcastic personalities at times, but both stay fierce and brave when they are needed to be. Thor with his hammer and Aquaman with his trident makes the two one of a kind making for a near-perfect connection between two characters in two separate universe's.

9 HATE: Iron Man

Tony Stark Iron Man Comics

Iron Man is a character loved by some and hated by most. He's a rich, pompous, know-it-all who forged his own way to being a superhero through his intelligence which is quite obvious when talking to him. Iron Man doesn't care what people have to think about him making him at times quite conceited which is the opposite of Aquaman.

Aquaman does make some poor decisions based on his jump-to-the-gun personality, but it's usually when he's not thinking that he makes the poor decisions. Iron Man is so intelligent, he has the option to make a poor decision or not to, but he chooses at times to make poor decisions.

8 TEAM UP: Hawkeye

Hawkeye is cocky and confident in himself, but he does it with a light heart. He knows he's a fantastic archer, but doesn't let his cockiness get in the way of his performance on the battlefield, especially when teaming up with others. He's a great ally and would greatly benefit from a friend like Aquaman.

Aquaman would also find his courage amusing since Hawkeye has been known to throw himself into brave situations knowing it's a bad idea. For instance, Hawkeye has straight-up punched several supervillains in the face which is not going to harm the villains in the long-run but simply harms their pride.

7 HATE: Wolverine

Wolverine has a bad attitude towards life. Although Aquaman has a drinking habit driven by his dark past, he never lets it affect his fighting performance during war. Wolverine is known to have succumbed to his past and he participates in an unhealthy manner of drinking and general lack of care for his actions.

Wolverine has a temper that mixed with a poor, cranky personality which Aquaman would find quite annoying.

6 TEAM UP: Captain America

Captain America's love for safeguarding the world is something to admire. No matter how angry or how lost he feels, Aquaman shares these same qualities with his love for the sea. The warrior with the shield has the range to open up to others he likes as well, which Aquaman would very much appreciate.

In order to work great together in battle, both partners need to have an understanding of how the other fights (and thinks.)

5 HATE: Deadpool

Plain and simply, Deadpool doesn't take anything seriously which would immediately get on Aquaman's nerves. The unruly Marvel anti-hero would only get in Aquaman's way as opposed to help him in the line of duty. Aquaman is known for his courage and bravery while Deadpool outspokenly uses that personality type as the butt-end of a joke.

Aquaman celebrates life and sees it as an honor to be able to be alive due to his wanting past. Deadpool is the exact opposite. Deadpool can't die and has grown a terrible attitude towards the general knowledge of existence.

4 TEAM UP: Hulk

How could anybody not like Hulk? Aquaman has been known to succumb to his own fits of rage, so he would feel compassion and align with Bruce Banners. Hulk doesn't work well in water and Aquaman doesn't fight his best on land, but the two would make for a great match.

Just like Thor who loves Hulk, Aquaman would see that Hulk's misunderstood feelings of rage are something to admire. The juxtaposition between Bruce's quiet manner to that of Hulk's spooling anger would be something Aquaman would find fascinating.

3 HATE: Star-Lord

Star-Lord deep down is a criminal by nature. Although his courage and bravery tend to stand out, he isn't the smartest tool in the shed. Aquaman tends to befriend those who are quick-thinking and who is chivalrous. Star-Lord, as seen in Guardians of the Galaxy, has been openly not chivalrous at times.

Although both the characters are driven by a dark past, Star-Lord tends to show his drive in a loose, unorganized way as opposed to Aquaman who is precise. Also, Star-Lord has the tendency to be sarcastic (sometimes at inappropriate times) which would only anger the Fisherman King.

2 TEAM UP: Black Widow

Aquaman would see Black Widow as a stunningly gorgeous and innately intelligent individual who always gets the job done. He can be sarcastic here and there, but ultimately it's his mission that remains to be his drive. Black Widow is so fearless she's nearly foolhardiness which Aquaman would greatly admire.

She's light on her feet and quiet like a snake seeing that she is one of the best spies in the world. Aquaman would take her courage and honor as a sign that she means business and can get the job done.

1 HATE: Black Bolt

Aquaman has extremely intense and supersonic hearing. His hearing abilities play a major role for him in battle to gain the ultimate advantage over his foes. One of Black Bolt's main abilities is sonic scream. If it does pierce his eardrums, it would take Aquaman out of the battle to say the least.

Additionally, he would find the Marvel character to be annoying. He's arrogant and defined by his pride which is the opposite of Aquaman's characteristics.
