DC Announces New "Suicide Squad" One-Shot, Miniseries

Just in time for the August premiere of Warner Bros.' "Suicide Squad" movie, DC Comics has announced the addition of two more titles starring the members of Task Force X.

Writer John Ostrander, who co-created the original "Suicide Squad" series in 1987, will return to the property with the one-shot "Suicide Squad: War Crimes Special," illustrated by Gus Vazquez.

Meanwhile, individual team members will step into the spotlight in "Suicide Squad Most Wanted," a six-issue miniseries with an El Diablo story written by Jai Nitz, with backup features by the inaugural class of DC's Writers Workshop. The first issue, "El Diablo and Boomerang," features main art by Cliff Richards, and a secondary story by writer Michael Moreci and artist Oscar Bazaldua. Subsequent issues will feature backup features starring Killer Croc and Amanda Waller.

They join the previously announced "Suicide Squad: Rebirth" #1, by Rob Williams, Philip Tan and Jonathan Glapion, and the relaunched "Suicide Squad" series, by Williams, Tan, Jim Lee and Scott Williams.
