Infinite running games on mobile platforms were popularized by "Temple Run" in 2011, and the trend never quite stopped. Now, DC Entertainment is getting in on the action with "Batman & The Flash: Hero Run," which features characters from the Bat-family and the Flash-family running through the streets of Gotham City and Gorilla City as they battle Gorilla Grodd and the Joker. The infinite runner is being developed by Ace Viral and published by Warner Bros. Interactive. No further information about the game was released.

Mobile infinite runner games have had quite a few comic book incarnations, including Marvel's "Run Jump Smash!" featuring tiny versions of the Avengers, and "Spider-Man Unlimited," which debuted at E3 2014.
