Vegeta is one of Dragon Ball’s most popular characters. It’s been a long journey for the Saiyan prince. Initially introduced as a primary antagonist – Vegeta’s role changed to secondary bad guy once Frieza was introduced and from there on he’s played the role of anti-hero and has now settled into the number 2 spot behind Goku as protector of Earth. If there’s one thing all fans know about Vegeta is that he’s incredibly proud. Though it’s gotten him and those around him in quite a bit of trouble over the years, it’s a character trait that many love. It’s embedded into his character at this point.

With Vegeta being such a well-liked character, plenty of Dragon Ball fan artists have tried their hand at drawing the Saiyan Prince. The results are often amazing and – as you’re about to see – there’s plenty of variety in how different artists choose to portray and interpret the character. With that being said, here are 10 fan art pictures of Vegeta that prove he is the prince of all Saiyans.

10 SSGSS Vegeta

We start things off with this amazing piece by Novedsus. Here we see Vegeta in his Super Saiyan Blue form, and it looks stunning. The art resembles that of 3D animation and it really helps it jump off the screen.

What really grabs your attention with this piece are the bright colors that help enhance the visuals, and really make it all stand out. The combination of aura alongside Vegeta’s ki blast – all reflecting off of his hair – makes for an aesthetically pleasing combination.

9 Full Power

Vegeta is a pretty intense character who always gives it his all. Artist juju does a great job of capturing Vegeta’s raw emotion in this piece. The intensity and bright colors used in juju’s art style perfectly match the emotions they’re trying to portray with this amazing work of fan art.

8 Majin Super Saiyan God Vegeta

Though this hasn’t happened in the manga or anime, yamasan puts together a what-if scenario we’re sure many fans would love to see. Majin Vegeta was pretty powerful at the time he was introduced, so you have to wonder how strong he’d be in God form. The bright colors really compliment Vegeta’s menacing appearance in this one.

7 Saiyan Blood Ties

This next piece of fan art has Vegeta sharing the stage with some of the series’ most iconic Saiyan fighters; Goku and Future Trunks. ひろ’s art looks like something straight out of the manga, and that couldn’t be more impressive.

The artist manages to recreate the characters in a way that pays homage to Toriyama’s designs while still adding in their own flavor.

6 Earth’s Protectors

We get yet another Goku Cameo with this entry. This time the image features the two Saiyans in their Super Saiyan Blue form. Though initially enemies, Goku and Vegeta have turned into some of anime’s most iconic rivals.

おたんこなすのなすまるさん does a great job of recreating some classic poses here, and what stands out most is the attention to detail the artist put in. Though not 100%, this seems really close to official art in terms of design. The artist is definitely a die-hard fan.

5 Majin Vegeta

Majin Vegeta was an interesting development in Vegeta’s character arc. It was his last foray into villainy before his eventual and permanent redemption over his past actions. It’s a popular version of the character, and グレイモン is spot on with their representation of the Buu Saga villain.

What really stands out with thi piece is the sharpness of the design. Vegeta’s wicked smile leaps out at you, and choosing to focus on his face while cutting out the rest of his figure was a genius move. It highlights the intensity that Vegeta projects in this moment perfectly.

4 Transformation

This next one is a great side-by-side of two works by the same artist. Given the similar poses, you can tell that these two pieces are part of the same work – with one showing Vegeta before transforming and the other showcasing his form post transformation.

Artist がきうさぎ gets a lot right with this piece. Vegeta’s arrogance and intensity all come across clear, but what’s most impressive are the colors and shading used. It hits you as soon as you see it, be it the image on the right or left. Both are incredibly captivating and showcase the artist’s unique style and vision.

3 The Young Prince

This next piece of fan art by Rin:F really stood out, because the artist chose to draw Vegeta as not many do; as a young child. We’ve seen Vegeta as a youngster only a handful of times throughout the series, and while he’s more memorable as an adult – you can’t say fans aren’t interested in the young prince’s exploits.

The addition of Raditz and Nappa is a really nice touch. The artist really gives off a sort of grim atmosphere, and it comes out in their use of dark colors and shading. It’s a work of fan art that immediately grabs your attention, and something we’re sure any Dragon Ball fan can appreciate.

2 Never Saw It Coming

While most fan artists draw characters in poses or situations of their own creation, others like to pay homage to the series they belong to by re-imagining iconic moments and events. That’s exactly what’s going on here.

Ruto830 perfectly captures Vegeta’s iconic battle against Android 19 just shortly after his Super Saiyan reveal. The art is superb and is highly reminiscent of the manga, while the doomed Android’s facial style paints the perfect picture.

1 Saiyan of War

This God of War crossover is something we didn’t know we needed until we saw it. When you think about it, who else in the Dragon Ball universe would be better off taking on the role of Kratos other than Vegeta?

Everything about this picture is epic. The weaponry, the busted Saiyan armor, Trunks and Vegeta’s expressions and poses ect… Artist luizhtx really did a great job of capturing Vegeta’s ferocity in this one. Need more proof? Just look at poor Master Roshi on Vegeta’s hip…
