Gohan and Videl's daughter Pan, plays an important role in Dragon Ball GT. However, both Dragon Ball Super and Z struggle to find uses for the young female Saiyan. Super Hero appears to give Pan an unprecedented spotlight and fans are anxious to see the character advance.

9 Pan Trains Under Piccolo

One of the most surprising and rewarding relationships in Dragon Ball is the tender student and teacher bond that forms between Gohan and Piccolo. Piccolo proves himself to be just as much of a father figure to Gohan as Goku on several occasions. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has teased Piccolo taking Pan under his wing and applying the same rigorous training methods her father experienced. The full extent of this training is unclear, but it’s exciting. Maybe Pan will adopt her own version of Piccolo’s training attire.

8 Pan Learns The Kamehameha

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero features a minor time jump, which is inconsequential for most of the series’ older characters, but it’s a big deal for someone that’s as young as Pan. Dragon Ball Super briefly depicts Pan in flight and Dragon Ball GT further develops her arsenal of attacks. It’s been entertaining to watch characters like Goku pass their signature attacks on to their children. Super Hero could be the perfect opportunity for Gohan to teach his daughter how to perform a Kamehameha, or his Masenko, and help pass this tradition on.

7 Pan Fights Alongside Gohan And Videl

Dragon Ball often triumphs when it comes to the generational aspect of its characters. Some of the most touching moments from the series are when parents and their children work together to take down impossible threats.

Gohan and Videl have an impressive history as fighters, even if they’ve both slightly cooled off after becoming parents. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero seems to heavily feature both Pan and Gohan’s progress as fighters. It’d be a sweet finish for Pan to work together with Gohan and Videl as a family.

6 Mr. Satan Gets Frightened By Pan's Strength

Dragon Ball’s later series tend to prioritize action over comedy, but there are still several characters that feel more like gags than legitimate allies. Mr. Satan fulfills a public role in the series as Earth’s protector, though Goku and company know his strength is an exaggerated charade. Satan's dishonest nature makes the legitimate strength of his children come as a shock. Pan is just a child, but it seems like her power is already higher than her grandfather’s. It’d be a lot of fun to have Satan realize how outclassed he is by his loving granddaughter.

5 Pan Performs Fusion

Fusion isn't introduced until later in the Dragon Ball franchise, but it’s a concept the series has truly embraced. There is no age restriction for fusionGoten and Trunks manage to master the fusion dance at a young age. Pan may seem too young for fusion. It might be better for her to develop her skills as a fighter first. However, Super Hero seems to reinforce the bond of family. Perhaps unusual circumstances will require Pan to fuse with someone that’s close to her age, like Bulla.

4 Pan Becomes Great Saiyaman 3

Gohan and Videl moonlight as Great Saiyaman superheroes in Dragon Ball

Gohan’s adult years in Dragon Ball are marked by his public alter ego, the Great Saiyaman, which he uses to anonymously fight crime. Gohan’s role as the Great Saiyaman plays a major role in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.

It’s likely that Gohan’s Great Saiyaman will show up in the movie, but the series has previously featured Videl as Great Saiyaman 2. Super Hero might keep this tradition and allow Pan to follow in her parents’ footsteps as Great Saiyaman 3. A family of Saiyaman would be adorable.

3 Pan Contributes To The Final Fight

Pan launches a kick during training with Piccolo in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.

There is no shortage of battles in Dragon Ball. One of the frustrating patterns in the series is more often than not, Goku steps in to save the day. With a few rare exceptions, this trope is profound in Dragon Ball films. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero features an enhanced role for Pan, Piccolo, and Gohan, but it’s still unclear if they’ll trump Goku. One satisfying decision for the movie’s endgame would be if Pan gets to contribute to the villain’s defeat, hopefully by her family’s side.

2 Pan Turns Into A Super Saiyan

One of the biggest questions that surrounds any Saiyan character in Dragon Ball is whether they'll become a Super Saiyan. Pan’s Super Saiyan status was ignored for a long time because of her female nature — Dragon Ball Super has since figured out how to showcase strong female Super Saiyans.

Admittedly, Pan is still very young and it’s likely ahead of schedule for her to reach this milestone, but she’s already shown tremendous potential that could put her above her parents. Pan officially becoming a Super Saiyan would make the movie an instant classic.

1 Pan Gets Some Proper Time With Goku

Anime pan and goku

Family is an important aspect of Dragon Ball and it’s always appreciated when everyone can work together. Pan is Goku’s granddaughter, but the two haven’t spent much time together in Dragon Ball Super. The majority of Pan’s scenes are with Gohan and Videl, so it would be meaningful for Goku to take note of her development and acknowledge her inherent strength. Goku has built a phenomenal family and there’d be so much emotional weight if he got a chance to admire Pan in battle.
