'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Takes 'Quantum Leap Forward' in Effects

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves says effects house Weta took "a quantum leap forward" between Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the upcoming sequel. Reeves, star Andy Serkis and many of the special effects crew got together to talk to IGN about the film's larger scale, outdoor settings and motion-capture techniques.

Opening July 11, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, also stars Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, Karin Konoval and Judy Greer.
