Last year, CW show Arrow teased fans with an Easter Egg hinting that David Ramsey -- who plays John Diggle -- had some sort of ties to DC's Green Lantern mythos. During an episode from last winter's "Elseworlds" crossover, Flash of Earth-90 asked him "John, where's your ring?" -- a knowing nod to the Green Lantern Corps' potential existence.

Excited fans thought that this Easter Egg could be a precursor for an alternate-Earth Diggle Green Lantern appearing in this year's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover. Ramsey, however, has revealed that, despite his asking, bringing Green Lantern to the Arrowverse remains an undeniable challenge.

In an interview with  ComicBook.com, the actor was asked how often he's approached showrunner Marc Guggenheim to get clarification on his character's potential relation to Green Lantern. "I cannot tell you how many times," Ramsey replied. "But really, I don't have to knock on Marc's door. He's been incredibly forthright with letting me know the plan, and letting me know some of the politics behind it. Green Lantern is a tremendously large property, and it's not easily done. If it was done on TV, imagine the cost. So it's one of those things where it's going to take a great deal of preparation if and when it's ever done."
