With so much secrecy surrounding Marvel's upcoming release Avengers: Endgame, very little is actually known about the story of Black Widow. Rumors indicate the film will be a flashback story, but there is also the possibility that it will take place in the present of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The official cast has yet to be announced, but stars like Emma Watson and André Holland are rumored to be involved.

David Harbour will next be seen in Hellboy, which hits theaters April 12, and in Season 3 of Stranger Things, which will drop on Netflix July 4.

Directed by Cate Shortland with a script by Ned Benson, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, and is rumored to be released on May 1, 2020. The film is expected to be a prequel like Captain Marvel and may explore the character's background before she joined S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers. Filming is expected to kickoff this summer in the UK.
