Hellboy probably won't dance in Neil Marshall's upcoming film adaptation of the beloved Dark Horse comics, but -- if we're lucky -- he may sing.
"I am a triple threat," Hellboy star David Harbour told MTV News at the Golden Globes. The star couldn't reveal much about the upcoming film reboot, but he dropped a low-key revelation when he was asked if the half-demon anti-hero would take a page from Sheriff Hopper and dance: "I don't know if you know this, but I'm also a singer, or at least there was a little bit of crooning that Hellboy may or may not do in the film."
Along with this revelation, Harbour also teased that fans can expect practical effects and action in the new film. " At the end of the day we would shoot some pretty beautiful stuff. And pretty unique stuff for this type of universe," he said. "A lot of it [was] very practical. Practical monsters and practical fights -- not a lot of CGI." That's something we can all sing (or dance) about.
Directed by Neil Marshall and starring David Harbour in its title role along with Ian McShane as Trevor Bruttenholm, Milla Jovovich as Nimue, The Blood Queen, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan and Penelope Mitchell as Ganeida, Hellboy comes to theaters January 11, 2019.
