David Goyer is ready to go on a Fantastic Voyage with producer James Cameron.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Man of Steel writer will pen a new treatment for the remake of the 1966 sci-fi film for Fox and Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment, which became involved with the project in 2010.

In 2011 there was talk of Real Steel and The Internship director Shawn Levy helming the project, with Hugh Jackman possibly starring. But then everything stalled out for unspecified reasons. However, with a big name like Goyer now attached, it seems like things are back in full swing.

Richard Fleischer (Soylent Green) directed the original Fantastic Voyage, which starred Donald Pleasance, Stephen Boyd and Raquel Welch as scientists who got shrunk down to go inside another scientist in order to save his life during the Cold War. The premise has been parodied and reused on several occasions since.
