David Boreanaz's Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar is returning to genre television in Paramount+'s Wolf Pack -- and the actor is expressing his desire to produce a project alongside her.

During a chat with Josh Horowitz on Paramount+'s The Summit, it was brought up that Gellar is making a much anticipated return to genre TV in Wolf Pack. When told that he probably has a guest spot on the series with her if he wants it, Boreanaz pivoted a bit and said it would be cool for him and his former co-star to do something together in the genre, but behind the scenes as producers. "You know, you never know," Boreanaz said. "I think what would be cool is for maybe me and Sarah to do a really cool genre like subject matter. Not acting in it but maybe be behind it and drive it to a really cool storytelling place. Maybe that's possible."

Boreanaz has been a fixture on television since beginning his role on Buffy in 1997. Following its first three seasons, the actor left for his own spinoff called Angel, which premiered in 1999 and ran for five seasons. When the series wrapped in 2005, the actor began playing FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth on the crime procedural Fox show Bones. The series was a staple of the network for 12 seasons and 246 episodes.

The actor didn't take much time off after Bones ended its run in 2017 as he took on the role of Master Chief Special Warfare Operator Jason Hayes on the military drama series, SEAL Team. The show began its life on CBS but has since moved to the Paramount+ streaming service, where it recently wrapped its sixth season.
