Dave Gibbons signing at Forbidden Planet on October 16th

Forbidden Planet is pleased to announce a signing by legendary comic artist Dave Gibbons. He will be signing Watching The Watchmen at the Forbidden Planet Megastore, 179 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8JR, on Thursday 16th October 6-7pm

Voted among Time magazine's 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present, a perennial bestseller since its release and widely considered the greatest graphic novel of all time, WATCHMEN is a gripping, labyrinthine piece of comic art. The feature film adaptation, directed by Zack Snyder (300), will hit theatres in 2009 from Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount Pictures.

Watching the Watchmen is a colossal retrospective written by Dave Gibbons and features hundreds of images of previously-unseen sketches, early script pages and a huge wealth of background detail as to how this seminal work came into being.

Dave Gibbons is British comic book artist whose career has included work on Judge Dredd and other strips in 2000AD, Doctor Who Magazine and a wide range of titles for Marvel, DC and other American comic publishers.

Forbidden Planet is the largest store of its kind in the world.
