Disney streamed three hours of river footage on a mysterious new Twitter account, only to announce a bundle that already exists.

The saga began on July 26 after the Disney+ Twitter account promoted a new, verified account titled The Streamer. On July 27, the The Streamer account started streaming footage of a running river. This would go on for three hours until Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista finally debuted as "The Streamer" in an ad for the Disney Bundle, which offers customers Disney+, Hulu (with ads) and ESPN+ for $13.99 a month.

The advertisement places Bautista's The Streamer on a calm river as he muses about his favorite Disney properties, including The Mandalorian (Disney+), The Handmaid's Tale (Hulu), Modern Family (Hulu) and Love, Victor (Hulu). The Tweet drew "reactions" from the official accounts of Pixar, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+.

The ad raised eyebrows across the streaming business world, as the Disney Bundle is not a new service and has been available since Disney+ launched in November 2019. It is unclear what Disney has planned for Bautista's character or the account, which currently has 11,600 follows.
